Notes:

The only thing more criminal than Georgia is the lack of fics with Ginny/ Marcus on AO3, so I had to fix that. Here's the full synopsis of the fic. Enjoy the ride!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Georgia had spent the last 16 years running from her past. She bounced from place to place, never staying along. And now her kids were racing full speed ahead into it.

All Ginny wanted was answers. She needed to know who she was, where she came from, what she was doing with her life. Her mom could keep her own life hidden, but everything that happened while Ginny was alive was fair game. And she was going to catch it.

Marcus didn’t have big secrets or big ambitions. He was terrible at keeping secrets, and life could change too fast to plan for anything. He floated along, never tied down, never trying. And then he met Ginny. For once, he saw something good in his future, and he wasn’t going to let that go.

Maxine messed up. A lot. But she was pretty sure she’d never messed up this bad before. She was just angry, she was just hurt. She knew she was going to make up with Ginny eventually. This just expedited the process.

Joe had spent 16 years hoping for Georgia to show up. When he hears the kids are missing though, he doesn’t just go for her. He goes for Ginny, who worked in his restaurant, who he guided, who guided him. He knew Georgia had a tendency to run, saw that Ginny had picked it up. But he was done keeping still. It was time to start chasing.
