Chapter Text
“TUBBO! STOP!" Tommy yells, chasing after the petite brunette to grab back the whipped cream. Tubbo snorts, uncapping the can in a defensive mode. Tommy backs Tubbo into a tree, trying to pin him to get the can out of his hand. Though, of course, Tubbo has a plan. With an evil giggle, Tubbo presses the trigger to launch whipped cream smack-dab in Tommy's face. Getting all over his eyes, nose, and mouth. Which he, of course, licks off, why let delicious whipped cream go to waste?
"You... YOU MOTHERF-CKER! Tubbo sticks out his tongue before he starts running, speeding back to the picnic blanket Ranboo is watching them from. "RANBOOOO! TUBBO ISN'T GIVING ME ANY WHIPPED CREAM!" Ranboo puffs, looking at Tommy's messy face, all covered in excess whipped cream.
"Seems like he did." he teases, producing Tommy's face to go all red with anger.
"Shut the f-ck up," he groans, sitting back on the picnic blanket to grab a napkin from the basket. Tubbo smirks at Ranboo, who rolls his eyes playfully.
"My god, Tubbo. You got Mr. TommyInnit looking like he fell face-first into cream."
"I won't hesitate to kill you, Ranboob."
"Oh god, I'm so terrified!" he drags out, putting his hands up for mercy. Tubbo smiles, trying to contain more giggles while helping Tommy clean off a part of his shirt.
"Come on, Tommy. It was funny!"
"NO, IT WAS NOT, TUBBO! YOU WEREN'T THE ONE WHO GOT SPRAYED IN THE EYE WITH WHIPPED CREAM!"
"You're just a big baby~" he sings. Tubbo helps Tommy out before lying on his back to look up at the sky. Ranboo and Tommy eventually follow, leaving the trio in comfortable silence while they take in the sweet spring air. It's going well, and it's very relaxing until Tubbo feels an uneasy tension in his head.
"Err..." he grunts, sitting up slowly to grasp at his head.
"Tubbo...?" asks Ranboo, the enderman-hybrid sitting up to place a hand on Tubbo's shoulder.
"Hey, woah. Big man, are you ok?" the blonde asks. He, too, sitting up to look at Tubbo's face. The brunette screws his eyes shut, nodding but feeling his head continue to pound. "Are you positive?"
"Y-Yep! I... I think we-" Before Tubbo can finish, the brunette feels his act give in. He isn't ok. Because a second ago, he was on the verge of tears. And now...
He can't feel.
Why can't he feel? Why is nothing happening?
"Tubbo?"
"Yeah, Boo?"
"Are you sure you are ok? Maybe we should head back-"
"No! I mean... no, I'm ok. I'm fine staying here." Is he lying? No, but he's not telling the complete truth. It's odd, and he doesn't feel right. Why is he suddenly not interested in the snacks Ranboo and him made? Why can't he seem to laugh or even smile while Tommy and Ranboo are wheezing at jokes they make. Why does everything look so bland? Where is the color? I mean, it's clearly there. But nothing is exciting.
Why does he feel like something is broken?
Tommy unlocks the door to the house shared by the three of them, stepping in to flick on the lights.
"Did you get any good movies on your material trip, Ranboo?" he asks as he tosses his jacket on the floor before kicking his legs up on the couch.
"Yeah, a few. It's Tubbo's turn to the pick, though. Tubbo, what do you want to watch?" No response. "Tubbo?"
"Huh?"
"It's your turn to pick the movie. I got some new ones!"
"I think I'm going to head to bed, sorry." Tubbo smiles forcefully, backing up slowly to avoid standing there waiting for the two boys to reply.
"It's not even six...?" Tommy says, sounding more like a question than a statement.
"I-I-I know! I just, I- ok so- I um... my head still hurts from earlier! I doubt a movie will help." F-ck, if he was Pinocchio, his nose would be a foot long by now.
"Oh, ok. Want me to get some meds?" Ranboo offers, stepping a little closer to the nervous boy. He shakes his head, saying goodnight before running up the stairs, tripping over himself.
"F-cking hell, Tubbo. Get a grip..." he whispers to himself, opening his drawer to grab some PJs. While slipping them on, he only one question.
Is he going to bring this up to his friends, or will his mouth stay shut?
"It's probably nothing!" he tells himself, letting his body fall into a deep sleep and leaving that for tomorrow's problem.
