Li Changyu comes from a family of all alphas, but being an omega didn't stop him from taking part in the family tradition of serving in the military. After years spent protecting the Empire, Li Changyu receives an edict from the Emperor himself. He suspects its to be a promotion, but is shocked to find that the Emperor is demanding his hand in marriage and becoming an Empress.
As Emperor, Jin Xiyan has a duty to his country and to produce an heir. The problem with that is the familial line of alphas has dwindled to almost nothing, and after several children, there doesn't seem to be an alpha male heir in sight. Luckily, he's told of an omega from a notable family that comes from an entire family of only alphas. While this initially feels like a blessing, Jin Xiyan quickly realizes it's a curse as his new omega bride behaves nothing like an omega.
As time goes on, it is no secret in the Court that these two despise each other, but what happens when they are forced to work together because they woke up in each other's bodies?
