Your hand traveled from his scar to his chin, tilting it so he couldn’t look away, touch so light it might not have been there at all.
“Why did you help me at USJ?”
Todoroki took his time with the question, letting it guide him to an eventual answer. “You needed it, and you weren’t going to give it to yourself.”
You arched a brow, the corner of your lips twitching. “Using my words against me now, Shoto?”
The boy had to pause for a moment and let the sound of your voice saying his first name ricochet in his mind. Something about it was so different from the way you said ‘Todoroki’, the name tied to his family, his father. When you said his first name you were talking to him and only him.
He felt selfish for wanting to hear you say it again, over and over.
