I knew it wasn’t going to last.”It was the summer of 1982, and Jeon Jungkook’s life was somewhat fine until Kim Taehyung came back to town after living in the city for six years. Sure, he was only planning on staying in town for a year, but Jungkook and Taehyung’s friendship ended on bad terms when Taehyung moved. Jungkook hated Taehyung with all that he was, whereas Taehyung slowly came to realize that his feelings for Jungkook ran much deeper than he thought. It wasn’t easy to love someone who despised you, though, and it certainly wasn’t easy to mend such a damaged relationship when the two people involved were weighed down by trauma and insecurities. Not to mention the fact that Jungkook and Taehyung’s hometown wasn’t a good place for anyone who wasn’t straight.
