Feeling peeled away from his skin and remained numb for an undetermined time.
The snag of a button held him down indefinitely.
Later on, he’d look a friend in the eye and say, “I’m glass,” with a wet sort of smile and too-red cheeks. He’d say that as an explanation, why he was treated the way he was. It was true; he was glass. As kind as the shoulder bumps and the hair ruffles and shoulder pats were, they were gentle and careful and made him feel like glass once again. His life was finally in order, but he was fragile. The white scar proved it.
Alternatively: bullied to the brink, family falling apart, Midoriya Izuku makes his last attempt. Not going quite how he planned, Midoriya ends up in a coma with fretful blond angels awaiting his return… and perhaps a demon too.
