Chapter Text

The news came as a shock to each and every student in UA. You could see the confusion arise on everyone’s face.

A new hero course had been established.

At this time of year? Sure it was only June of their first year but, everyone had grown significantly since then. It just felt wrong to bring a new class in, especially considering the rise in villain attacks.

But when Iida questioned this, Aizawa stated that was exactly why they were bringing in a new class of students. Statistics have shown a significant increase in villain behaviour over the past year. Efforts to decrease crimes have proven futile. UA has taken it upon themselves to increase the number of heroes in future. Due to this, Class C was established.

“Twenty four points!” He shouted as he sprung past everyone with ease. His movements were so fast and swift, almost ninja like.

“That’s all? I’m already at twenty five.” Before the other could react his body dispersed into a flock of crows before racking up an extra 10 points with one move.

“Thirty five now.” A smug grin replaced his usual angry expression.

“Shutup! Not everything has to be a competition!” Contradicting his own statement the boy moved on to attack twelve robots landing him at thirty six.

“It’s only been sixty seconds and he’s already gained thirty six points? The most out of everyone! I think this is a new record!” Nezu and the others watched in amazement as the boy continued to spring around and steal points with ease.

“Who is this boy?” Aizawa asked in a curious tone. Despite not looking too impressed on the outside, on the inside he was intrigued by this young character.

Hinata Shoyo:
Quirk: Jet.
“The soles of his feet have the ability to emit a sudden burst of flames, which can propel him vast heights and distances. His body stores up potassium and water in that particular area of his body which creates the chemical reactions causing the explosions.”

“The boy next to him is pretty promising too.” All Might stated as he bought up his file.

Kageyama Tobio:
Quirk: Crow.
His body can turn into a flock of crows allowing him to attack multiple targets and fly at vast speeds. It can also be helpful for spying. He can control the number of birds he can turn into, as long as it’s more than one.

“These damned quirks get crazier with each generation.” Aizawa’s eyes narrowed as he honed in on an interesting scenario.

“Hey you over there!” The male sprinted towards another examinee who attempted to sprint away, but alas he was cornered by this enthusiastic presence.

“Oh come on! I need to get points! You know I can’t get in if I don’t get enough!” Although the male was easily 6’5 he found himself unable to free himself from this situation.

“Sorry I saw you take down all those bots with your quirk! It’s is pretty cool, have you tried using it to jump from high buildings onto the robots? Since some of the bots are huge I thought it may help you!” The other male enthusiastically suggested.

The taller male was startled for a second, but nonetheless he responded. It was good advice after all. “No I didn’t think of that! I can get the much higher points with this now, thankyou!”

“Not a problem!” He exclaimed as the latter proceeded to transform into a cat and make his way up the tall buildings.

Koushi Sugawara:
Quirk: Advice
By giving advice to an enemy he is able to obtain any piece of information he wishes from his opponent by reading their minds. His eyes change colour whilst using this quirk.

With the information he had gained, he found out that this cat man had been careless and left behind a good several points. Using this information, he made his way over to the neglected location and stole the missed points.

As he headed back he noticed even more missed points. Sugawara’s quirk wasn’t built for combat, but if he used it correctly he could do exactly as he pleased. It also made him happy to see this cat man engaging in combat and using his advice.

Lev Haiba
Quirk: Cat
He can transform into a cat, whilst in human form he can obtain select cat features. These features include:
Retractable claws, cat eyesight, cat ears and flexibility. His quirk is useful for spying and patrolling. It can also be helpful in combat to an extent.

There were many other interesting sights for the teachers to gaze upon. Although it had been only three minutes since the exam started candidates were racking up points quickly.

Some students with less points began to panic under the pressure, losing any sense of focus. On the other hand you had students who continued to climb the score board with ease.

In first place so far was Tobio Kageyama, following close in second was Shoyo Hinata. It seemed those two had some kind of rivalry, they used each other as motivation to score higher.

Two other students named Tadashi Yamaguchi and Kei Tsukishima followed closely in third and fourth.

“Yamaguchi up there!” Tsukishima yelled as one of the test robots appeared behind him.

“Got it!” The latter exclaimed. His arms morphed into snake heads and his body covered itself with scales. He lunged forwards practically pouncing onto the robot to destroy it. He was like some kind of assassin.

Yamaguchi Tadashi
Quirk: Serpent
He can morph his arms into venomous snakes, he has retractable fangs in his mouth which are almost vampire like, they can also emit venom. If bitten the subject will either be paralysed, pass out, or be extremely nauseous for the next few minuets. His body can also turn defensive and he can cover himself is scales. His eyes can also turn reptilian, overall he can use the abilities of a snake.

A girl appeared from nowhere, running in fear from one of the zero pointer giant robots. But as she ran the robot Yamaguchi had just bought down almost collapsed onto her.

“Watch out!” Just before the rubbles toppled onto the girl a swarm of insects scurried towards her and protected her from any harm. Yamaguchi helped to pull her from the rubble.

“Are you okay?” Yamaguchi asked as Kei joined them.

“Ah! Yeah sorry! I got a bit stuck, I found my quirk doesn’t really work on the robots so I panicked.” The blonde girl let out a strained smile, seemingly disheartened by her lack of points.

Hitoka Yachi
Quirk: Flash eyes.
The user can blind their foes with light from their eyes. It’s only temporary blindness lasting a maximum of one minute, this ability is best used for sneak attacks. It can work on multiple people at once and reaches across a large radius.

“Well if you just sit there you aren’t going to get anywhere.” Tsukishima insisted as he helped the girl to her feet. “Sorry about the bugs by the way, I know you’re afraid of them but if I hadn’t of done anything you would’ve been crushed.”

Tsukishima Kei
Quirk: Fear Shifting.
His quirk allows him to gain powers based on his targets phobias. The effects last a maximum of eighteen hours and will lose power slowly depending on how much he uses them. All he has to do is look at a person to activate this quirk, it only works on one person at a time. He can gain multiple powers based on the strength of his targets fears. The bigger the fear the better the power.

“It’s okay! Um I better go!”

Unknowingly Tsukishima and Yamaguchi had placed themselves at the top of another score board, rescue points. By saving Yachi they had each gained themselves thirty rescue points.

“Come on Asahi! You aren’t going to get points for stranding around!” Another enthusiastic boy seemed to spring from wall to wall and make unnecessary flashy movements before firing red laser beams with perfect accuracy.

Yuu Nishinoya
Quirk: Laser beams.
His quirk allows him to emit lasers from his eyes and finger tips. He can use these lasers to cut through walls, taser and send signals. The lasers can reach incredible distances, however they can be deflected.

“Noya calm down, I can’t increase my luck with you howling at me and all these giant robots.” Asahi proclaimed.

Azumane Asahi
Quirk: Four-Leaf.
The quirk user grows a clover on their head which can increase their luck when one leaf is eaten. By touching other people he can also increase their luck. The affects last for approximately four days. Whilst this quirk is activated it locates other four leaf clovers so that the user can go out in search for them. He is able to locate anyone he has given luck too during the 4 day activation. It can be deactivated earlier.

“Thanks to your luck both of us have over thirty points! We must be guaranteed a spot in UA by now!” Nishinoya cheered as he strutted proudly across many dismembered robots.

“Don’t worry Lady I’ll protect you.” The much taller male took a stance in front of a young women. His body turned to stone as he punched the leg of the robot. Slowly it fell to the ground but was halted by the sheer strength of this male. It crumbled against his Boulder like skin.

Ryūnosuke Tanaka
Quirk: Stone.
His quirk allows his body to become as heavy as a boulder accompanied by stone like skin. It makes him practically immovable and unbreakable. His quirk is very useful on the defensive side of things.

“Thankyou, but I’m perfectly capable of managing this test on my own.” The young lady stated as she marched over to the broken object.

“With my quirk I have learned that I can reanimate these objects which would also reinstall its points.” With a touch of the hand against the metal of this object it suddenly came back to life, but then the black haired woman destroyed it with flawless combat skills.

Shimizu Kiyoko
Quirk: Fix it
The user can repair any inanimate object with only a single touch, the whole hand must be touching the object in order to fix it. This can be done with the left or right hand.

“I’d like to thankyou for your help sir, you may destroy it again now. I’m Shimizu Kiyoko by the way, have a great day!” She said this in an almost mocking tone, as if she was saying ‘I don’t need your help.’

It left Tanaka startled, it felt like he had just been rejected. Out of frustration he kicked the robot to pieces.

“An interesting tactic there.” Torino stated as he watched an older male behind Tanaka absorb parts of the flying debris. He then proceeded to eject them from his body towards other robots and increase his ranking.

Sawamura Daichi
Quirk: Depot
The user can absorb any projectiles or items inside their body and release them. He can store them for as long as he likes and select which item he wishes to release. This ability allows him to absorb large impact attacks unharmed.

With now only one and half minutes left of the exam it was becoming clear who would and wouldn’t make the c class. Those with over forty five points had the highest chance of getting in, but the board of examiners would also have to take into account those with tremendous rescue points.

“There you go, give it approximately eighteen seconds and you’ll be fully healed. Who’s next?”

Keiji Akaashi
Quirk: Heal bubbles
This quirk user creates bubbles out of glucose that can heal injuries. Due to this they consume a lot of sugar which is stored up in their lungs and palms. Bubbles can be secreted by breathing out, or through his palms and the tips of his fingers. Using his ears is also an option, but he would prefer not to since it hurts.

“Akaashi! You aren’t going to get points that way and you promised we would get in together!” Bokuto pouted as he took his human form. He already had a spot in the top ten, whereas Akaashi placed fifteenth. Although they didn’t know this at the time.

Kotarou Bokuto
Quirk: Owl
He can transform into an Owl and has some physical attributes of an owl. Whilst in human form he can obtain the wings, hearing, vision and ability to turn his head 360 degrees like an owl. His quirk is good for spying.

“It’s okay Bokuto san I’m sure they have a system in place for awarding rescue points.” Akashi attempted to reassure him, but to no avail, his best friend continued to pout.

“But what if they don’t! And then you don’t get in and I’m all alone!” Bokuto sometimes made Akaashi laugh, despite being eighteen he could wine like a toddler and lend you these guilt tripping puppy dog eyes.

“I’ve already taken precautions.” Akaashi replied vaguely.

The concrete rose to the height of a building elevating three robots. Amongst them was a hypnotised Iwaizumi.

Iwaizumi Hajime
Quirk: Half-Earth Half-Air
The user can control the earth with their bottom half and the air with their top half. This quirk is very destructive and is good for the offensive side of an attack. He can manipulate the air and earth however he likes and return it to its original state afterwards.

“Stop making me do your dirty work Shitty Kawa, go gain your own points.” He began in an irritated tone. Against his own will Oikawa had been using his quirk to manipulate Iwaizumi into practically giving him points.

“Aww Iwa-chan you know this is how my quirk works right?” His face was painted with a smug grin knowing how many points he had manipulated others into ‘giving’ him.

Toru Oikawa
Quirk: Siren
The user can imitate the voices of friends and others to hypnotise victims. To activate this quirk all he has to do is hear a voice once and immediately his vocal chords will memorise it. If you respond to his calls you will fall into a trance in which you are to follow an instruction given. The effects are deactivated once the task is complete, It is effective on multiple people.

“Yeah, well at least they won’t let you sit on your arse once you get into UA.” Iwaizumi knew Oikawa wasn’t lazy. He wasn’t blessed with a combat quirk like many of his other friends. But, Oikawa was smart. He wasn’t the type to let others beat him, that combined with his perfectionism was a force to be reckoned with.

“Lev get outta the way!” A puny male screamed, he looked pathetic compared to the taller male. But only for a second. In an instant one of his arms shrunk whilst the other grew. With a single punch he had destroyed a giant robot.

Morisuke Yaku
Quirk: Devils-deal
The user can lower an attribute of themselves in exchange for raising another temporarily. The affects can usually last an hour before wearing off. This ability could be good in close combat.

“I coulda killed you idiot!” Yaku scolded the other as he pulled him to his feet before returning to his normal size.

“I was gonna go for that robot!” Lev proclaimed.

“Well ya didn’t.” The other snapped before marching away.

Aizawa spotted an unusual sight, many robots stuck to a wall by a thick caramel like substance.

“How many points have you got Wakatoshi-kun.” The red haired male asked as he approached the top of a building he had climbed.

Satori Tendo
Quirk: Caramel
His quirk allows him to create and shape caramel. He can excrete the caramel from the palms of his hands. Another odd place he can do this is with his bellybutton, but he usually chooses not too as using his palms is a lot more efficient. The stickiness of the caramel is also useful for climbing.

“Exactly sixty four.” Ushijima said, his tone didn’t sound proud, more monotone.

“Wow really! I only have fifty of something, I lost count. No wonder you got so many with that strength of yours.” Tendo lent him and admiring look, he had always thought highly of Ushijima.

“That could possibly be the reason, thankyou for your insight, Tendo.” The two had grown up together, constantly watching each other improve. It felt like in that moment, they had reached a milestone. This had been their dream since elementary school, to become heroes.

Wakatoshi Ushijima
Quirk: Hell Hands
A close combat quirk that allows him to transform his hands into demon like claws with sharp nails. He can turn his quirk off and on, he only turns it on during combat or training. The force of his quirk alone could send a person flying or squish a fully grown mans head.

As the exam approached its last thirty seconds many students headed for the exit. Most robots seemed to be heading in that direction and a lot of students wanted to scavenge the last few points.

“Kenma you made it here! How ya doin?” Kuroo smiled as the blonde boy sat slumped against a wall. Many objects such as walking tables and fire hydrants suddenly collapsed around Kuroo.

Tetsuro Kuroo
Quirk: Inanimate
Whatever the quirk user touches comes to life. This only works on non living objects of course. His quirk is activated by a touch of the hand. He can also give instructions to these objects, the affects of his quirk won’t wear off until he deactivates his quirk.

“Fine, I didn’t have to move a lot. So good, I guess.” He responded vaguely. Upon closer inspection from other examinees who were approaching, it seemed the boy had formed a portal of sorts. This portal was attracting the large robots.

Kozume Kenma
Quirk: Arcade
Whatever he see’s in a game whether it be people, animals, weapons or entire universes he can make them appear. They can either be an illusion or an actual hardened object. He can use them to fight or spy, anything he likes. They will always follow his instructions. He can create as many beings as he likes, however they can be destroyed by large impact attacks.

“I made a portal that attracts metal, which in turn attracted the robots. When the robots enter the portal they are shrunk to the size of a toy. I then gained points by pressing the buttons.” He explained nonchalantly. Kenma enjoyed using as little effort as possible, since he became tired easily.

The others watched in confusion as the boy stood up. Just as he did Present Mic announced the exams ending.

Some left disappointed, others optimistic and some jumping for joy as they asked about each other’s scores. Overall they felt blessed to have been granted this second chance, even if they didn’t make the cut.

Hi! So I wanted to be as accurate to the MHA timeline as possible, but I couldn’t find an official one with dates so I’m following this one:
