It's a bright and sunny, destruction-filled day in New York City. Tim and Kon stand on the sidewalk amongst a large crowd of people who were starting to come out of the woodwork to ogle at the group of superheroes standing in the middle of some wreckage now that the danger was past.
Kon gives a wave as the Avengers finish up with ensuring whatever villain they’d been fighting was locked up. He dips his sunglasses down his nose, looking right at Hulk, and gives him a charming smirk.
Unfortunately, Hulk seems to recognize him. Even more unfortunate is that Hulk doesn’t seem to have any good sentiment about their last encounter. Probably because Kon had made many teasing comment and remarks.
And then, Hulk very suddenly lunges at him.
“Oh shi-” Kon goes to turn around, but Hulk is faster and not bound by pretending to be a normal person in the crowd. His large green hand grabs onto Kon’s waist before anyone can do anything about it. The next thing Kon knows, he’s soaring through the air at enormous speeds.
Tim stares at Hulk.
In fact, everyone stares at Hulk. Some of the crowd even starts to back away in a sudden jolt of fear. A few people even scream.
“Hulk!” Captain America shouts, obviously panicked.
“Oh my god, did the green guy just kill a teenager?” Hawkeye gapes.
“Unprovoked?” Iron man chimes in.
Captain America walks over to Tim, looking horrified. “I- I don’t even have- I am so sorry-”
“Sorry about what?” Kon hums, walking over. He now had a bag of chips in his hand, and was completely unscathed.
Hawkeye furrows his brow, pointing between Kon and Hulk. “But he- But you- Huh!?”
“But he what?” Kon hums, acting innocent as he takes a chip and then offers the bag over to Tim, who blinks a few times before he takes one.
“But Hulk threw you!” Hawkeye shouts, looking absolutely bewildered. “We all thought you were sidewalk pizza!”
“Ooooh, pizza? Where?” Kon says jokingly with a smirk, obviously enjoying himself. Perhaps a little too much. “I love pizza!”
“I’ll make you pizza,” Hulk grumbles, walking over, fists clenched. Kon realizes a little too late. He is thrown yet again.
“Hulk, no!” Captain America shouts out. He seems a little bit less worried this time though, and for good reason. Kon is back in less than a minute. Hulk makes another grab for him, but Captain America steps in his way, having had enough of this. “Hulk. Stand down.”
“But Flyboy called Hulk ugly, ” Hulk complains.
“Actually it’s Super boy. Say it with me. Super and boy ,” Kon hums, leaning against a wall. “Or is that too much for your big head to-”
“ Kon , quit antagonizing him,” Tim huffs, crossing his arms. “You are not making things better.”
“Okay, okay, fine,” Kon sighs heavily, looking back at the group of Avengers. “No worries. I’m half kryptonian, Hulk would have to try a lot harder than that to-”
Tim scowls at him. They didn't need the Avengers any more curious than they already were.
“-I’m perfectly fine, no harm done, and we’ll be going now,” Kon turns around.
Iron man lands directly in front of him. “Uh, no. You will not be going now. I still have questions. Like what the hell is a kryptonian, and how do you know Hulk ?”
“It’s a long story,” Tim interrupts. “And we’ll be going now .”
They still needed to find the device that would take them home, if it wasn’t destroyed by now, and this was wasting time. It was quite frustrating, if you asked Tim. They start to walk away, but there is a firm hand on Tim’s shoulder less than a second later.
“Listen, son, just a few minutes, please,” Captain America hums. “We just want to talk.”
“Usually when people say they just want to talk, bad things happen,” Tim points out, his arms folded neatly over his chest as he gives Captain America a flat look. “We’ve got it handled.”
Before Captain America can try to convince them that talking really would be in their best interest, Tim winks and leaps into Kon’s arms. The two of them take off, leaving behind a group of mildly concerned and heavily confused Avengers.
“That was fun,” Kon hums.
“I told you that calling that guy a giant green oaf was going to come back to bite you,” Tim responds with a roll of his eyes. “Let’s just get out of here and work on finding a way home before Batman finds we’re gone.”
