Summary
Everything starts in the summer — everything consumes in the summer. Jungkook and Taehyung are both young when they meet in the summer of 1983 in Jeju Island, where Jungkook goes with his family for their vacation. Jungkook and Taehyung befriend, but they are two kids, and even though they grow up, they are way too young and naive. Years pass, and during the last summer they spend together, everything collapses. One of them falls in love, the other one is just too scared. One of them leaves, the other one stays. They are both heartbroken.
Jungkook and Taehyung see each other again in the summer of 1993 when Jungkook comes back to Jeju to sell his grandmother’s house. Everything is still the same, but everything changes, too. Jungkook and Taehyung find again the same kids they had been but with a little fewer dreams. Being together is easy. Being together is hard. They are friends, but they can’t befriend anymore. One of them is still in love, the other one crumbles down like a house of cards. One of them says, ‘I love you’, the other one replies, ‘me too’. They are both ready.
