Kagami could only stare regretfully at his trashed apartment. The place was silent except for numerous snores coming from his room that held a very naked Alex, Takao, Kasamatsu and Alex’s friend from the States. How did this happen? Where did it all go wrong? Let’s rewind to the night before when Alex turned up unannounced.
“Why the hell are you here again? Didn’t you just return to America?” Kagami grumbled upon seeing his master outside his door. Alex attempted to plant a kiss on the boy who dodged and covered her face with his hand.
“Aww, you should be a bit happier to see me Taiga,” Alex pouted. Then she introduced the woman next to her, “By the way, this is Rachel Martin, a fellow retired WNBA player.”
“Nice to meet you Taiga,” Rachel said in English. She was the same height as Alex and had brown hair with blonde highlights. Her skin was tan and she had multiple piercings in her ears.
“You too,” Kagami grunted. “Couldn’t you have gone to a hotel? Why must you stay with me?”
“Ehh? Because I want to see you obviously,” Alex grinned. Rachel rolled her eyes at her friend whom she knew was almost broke from spending most of her money on travels.
“Tch, whatever. Take your bags in, you can use the spare room.” Kagami mumbled walking to the kitchen.
“Oh Taiga, Rachel wanted to see the city so I was thinking we could go out for dinner, yeah?” Alex said as she carried her bag to the room with Rachel in tow.
“City aye? Fine but we should go now since the shops will close in three hours.” Kagami said.
“Gotcha. We’ll change first though,”
And so, the three ended up in the shopping centre with Rachel, who bounced around like an excited puppy, went on a shopping spree and visited various food places.
Kagami was regretting coming along with these two women who attracted unnecessary attention. It was then when a voice yelled out his name and he turned to see the Shutoku hawk-eye, Midorima’s shadow, waving at him with a grin.
‘Great. Just my luck.’ Kagami grimaced.
“Kagami! What a surprise to see you here,” Takao said with a grin.
“Takao, what are you doing here? Where’s the green guy?” Kagami asked curiously. It was unusual to see Takao without his GOM friend.
“Shin-chan was busy with some family stuff. I came to buy some snacks from that new store down the street.” Takao said. But then, his eyes caught the two foreign beauties standing behind Kagami and he put on his playful smirk.
“Oh, what’s this Kagami? Accompanying two beautiful ladies, what a player.”
Kagami scowled, “Shut up. That’s my mentor and her friend,”
“Mentor?” Takao looked at Alex with surprise before breaking out into a grin and then introducing himself.
Alex recognised him as the same guy who was on the team as that green-haired guy, a member of the generation of miracles. She and Rachel introduced themselves as well and the trio ended up getting along well like long lost buddies.
Takao was a naturally friendly person and socialised easily so it wasn’t hard for him to become friends with the two women much to Kagami’s annoyance. Right then, Takao’s eyes caught another familiar face in the crowd and called out to him making Kagami look over.
It was Kasamatsu Yukio, Kise’s senpai and Kaijo’s famous point guard.
Kasamatsu had gone out to do a bit of shopping for school and wasn’t expecting to meet Seirin’s number 10 and Shutoku’s hawk-eye out here nor was he expecting Takao to call him.
“Takao, how surprising to see you here.” Kasamatsu nodded at him. He looked at Kagami with a bemused expression, “How come you two are together?”
“We met by coincidence,” Kagami muttered. Kasamatsu scowled at his lack of respect but didn’t scold him when he saw the two women. His mind went blank and his face blushed as his nerves shook upon being in close proximity with two females.
“And who’s this cutie Taiga?” Alex asked. Kagami didn’t seem to notice the fidgeting mess Kasamatsu was in and introduced him. Alex and Rachel could tell the boy was extremely and thought to tease him a bit by standing right next to him and dragging him off while Kasamatsu’s face turned even redder.
“Who knew Kasamatsu would be bad with women,” Takao mused and followed after. Kagami just blinked.
‘So these guys are just gonna join us?’
He didn’t think anything of it and just felt slightly annoyed but he had an ominous feeling. Something didn’t sit right with him about this group and oh how he wished he listened to his gut.
It started when Alex suggested they should check out one of the night clubs. Kagami and Kasamatsu immediately objected claiming they were underaged…well Kagami and Takao were…and it was a bad idea. Rachel and Takao were all for it though and with a bit of pushing, the five ended up at a local nightclub filled with youth and a couple of foreigners.
Alex, Rachel, Kagami and Kasamatsu made it in relatively easily with Kagami looking like an adult. Takao needed to show his ID to which he smirked and pulled out one allowing his pass. This raised Kagami and Kasamatsu’s eyebrows who looked at the male with questioning and suspicious glances.
“What? They’re fake,” Takao smirked.
Kagami could only sigh, “I don’t even wanna know why you have them,”
Alex and Rachel went straight to the bar to order a few drinks whilst the three boys stood awkwardly in the corner. That was until Takao started chatting up some ladies leaving Kagami annoyed about being dragged into this mess and Kasamatsu wondering why he went along with this.
Alex came back with her and Rachel carrying a few drinks.
Everything went downhill from there.
Kasamatsu was coerced into having a shot which left him buzzed and wanting more. Two more shots and the guy was drunk and ended up on the dance floor. Takao wasn’t any better and started making out with some chick in the crowd. Kagami held his alcohol much better than the other two but ended up tipsy and also ended up on the dance floor, swaying with a random girl.
Alex and Rachel only watched in amusement with hazy eyes the three boys letting go. Soon they too joined the trio and the rest was history.
Kagami didn’t know how they came home only thinking it was a miracle considering how gone they were the night before. He only remembered a few glimpses of what happened and his head throbbed leaving him to groan. He didn’t even want to know why the four other people were butt naked in his room but he was positive they didn’t do anything stupid since he recalls them stripping after playing some stupid game and passing out soon after.
It was then when his phone started ringing waking up the room’s companions. Takao and Kasamatsu both moaned and clutched their heads, their faces contorting to painful expressions. They didn’t even register the state they were in until Kasamatsu turned to look around and his jaw dropped in horror.
The two felt a wave of nausea overcome them and dashed to the bathroom, not caring they were still without clothing.
Kagami was fully dressed having woken up before them and picked up his phone before answering in a strained voice.
“What is it?”
“…Kagami-kun? Is that you?”
Kagami pinched the bridge of his nose, “Obviously. Kuroko? Why are you calling so early?”
“What are you talking about Kagami-kun? It’s 10 o’clock already. Where are you? Don’t you remember what today is?”
“Eh? Was there something on today?” Kagami could hear voices in the background. ‘Was Kuroko out somewhere?’
“…Kagami-kun, we were supposed to meet up with Akashi-kun and them for street basketball today. He and Murasakibara-kun with your brother are in Tokyo for the holidays.”
Kagami’s eyes widened in realisation and cursed looking at the clock.
“Shit! I’ll come soon!” Without waiting for an answer, he hung up and opened the bathroom door where Takao’s head was facing the toilet bowl ready to throw up. Kasamatsu was slumped against the wall rubbing his eyes.
“We gotta go,” Kagami said.
“Mmf where?” Takao asked in a muffled voice. Kasamatsu’s own eyes widened briefly remembering a certain blonde’s invite the day before.
“Ah crap! The street ball match!”
“Street ball – Ah!”
And so the three new friends scrambled to get dressed with Kagami already showered, and quickly left the apartment to go to the court.
Meanwhile at the court, the six generation of miracles along with Himuro and Momoi were already there and playing around. Murasakibara was munching on some snacks while Kise and Aomine played a small one-on-one. Akashi and Midorima were talking about something in low voices and Kuroko, Himuro and Momoi played with Nigou.
“Ne Midorin, where’s Takao-kun? I did invite him yesterday,” Momoi asked.
Midorima merely scowled at the thought of his friend, “Who knows where that idiot is? He hasn’t picked up my calls at all this morning,”
“Maybe he finally got sick of you.” Aomine snickered. Midorima glared and muttered a ‘shut up’.
“Senpai is unusually late as well,” Kise pouted. “Kagamicchi isn’t here too, is he coming Kurokocchi?”
“Hai. I just called him now but he sounds unwell which is weird since he’s a lot like Aomine-kun who never gets sick,” Kuroko said.
“That’s certainly odd. Taiga almost never caught a cold when he was younger,” Himuro added. ‘That reminds me, Alex said she was in town yesterday afternoon…I wonder…’
“Sorry we’re late!” a voice shouted.
Simultaneously, all the coloured heads turned to the source of the voice and openly gaped at the terrible state the three missing persons were in. They looked like zombies on the verge of collapsing with Takao for once not his usual cheerful self and Kasamatsu turning pale. Kagami looked slightly better but had dark eyebags.
“What the hell?” Aomine muttered.
The trio stumbled forward and hobbled to a nearby bench where they sat. Takao lay on his side and curled up into a fetal position. Kagami slumped down with both hands on his face and Kasamatsu leaned forward with closed eyes.
“Eh? Senpai? What happened?” Kise asked walking over. His voice was too much for the three as they glared at the blonde and unison said, “Shut up Kise,”
Kise clutched his heart clearly taken aback while Midorima and the others marched over.
“Takao! What the hell happened to you? I tried calling you phone this morning only for it to go to that automated voice. And why are you three together looking like this?” Midorima glared. Everyone looked at the three with different gazes yet all held curiosity.
“Shin-chan can we not talk about this now? I think I might throw up,” Takao muttered with closed eyes. Midorima looked shocked that the raven head didn’t say some teasing statement.
Right then, Momoi noticed something and walked closer to them. The group watched in shock as she sniffed the air around Takao and Kasamatsu before grimacing and stepping back.
“Why do you guys smell like cigarettes and alcohol?” Momoi asked with wide eyes. The group snapped their heads to the three who flinched under the accusing gazes. Himuro looked at his brother with a raised eyebrow.
“Taiga, you’ve got some explaining to do. Besides I think you owe us since the three of you were late,” Himuro said.
“Taiga-chan, you tell them what happened. Yu-chan and I don’t remember much from yesterday,” Takao said.
“Taiga-chan, Yu-chan? When the hell did you three become so close?” Midorima barked. Akashi seemed amused at how things were turning out. Murasakibara seemed slightly curious while Kuroko only stared at his light.
“Last night. We had the whole night to get close,” Takao smirked. His suggestive tone made the group stiffen while Kagami only glared at the hawk eye.
“Shut-it Kazunari.” He growled.
‘Even Kagami was using his first name. What the hell happened?’
“Dammit, we screwed up, that’s what happened!” Kasamatsu snapped.
“Senpai, what do you mean?” Kise asked.
“Yeah. What did bakagami do this time?”
“Shut up ahomine!”
“Enough!” Akashi said loudly. He silenced everyone before turning to the trio who shrunk back at the emperor’s stare.
“Like Himuro-kun pointed out, I believe you owe us an explanation.” He said.
Kagami sighed knowing he had no way out of this. Eventually he opened his mouth and started talking in a hoarse voice.
“Look, it wasn’t my fault first of all. I was dragged into this by Takao and Alex,”
“Alex? She’s staying with you?” Himuro raised his eyebrows. Kagami nodded. “Yeah and she brought a friend. Her friend wanted to explore the city for a bit and coincidentally, we met up with Kazunari and Kasamatsu. And then…”
“We ended up going to a night club,” Kasamatsu said bluntly.
“”EHHH??!!!”” was the collective shout. The trio winced unable to handle the loud noise.
“Wait wait wait, you three went to a night club? And you didn’t invite me?!” Kise wailed. Midorima whacked his head, “That’s not the point fool!”
Aomine looked amused and interested, “Eh? How did you guys even get in?”
“Kasamatsu’s old enough and I looked like an adult. Takao used a fake ID,” Kagami grumbled.
“And then what happened?” Kuroko asked. The two standing next to him jumped not noticing his presence.
“Um…I don’t know,” Takao said sheepishly. More eyebrows were raised as he continued, “We got super drunk and I don’t really remember what happened.”
“Unbelievable. I knew you were an idiot Takao but not this idiotic.” Midorima scowled. “And what about the two of you?”
“Kasamatsu was pretty much gone as well, he was the first one. I remember small glimpses of last night but I have no idea how we made it back to my apartment,” Kagami groaned.
“What the f**k?”
“That’s what happened,”
There was more to the story but Kagami wasn’t sure if it was wise to say the three had all made out with various girls and ended up sleeping naked with two foreign women.
“I must say, I’m both disappointed and amazed at what you three did,” Akashi mused. “There’s more to the story isn’t there?”
Trust the emperor to figure it out. Kagami rubbed the side of his head, “Yep but some things are better left unsaid.”
Aomine snorted and jokingly said, “What, did you screw some chicks or something?” earning a jab from Kuroko. He was waiting for a retort but realised the three had gone silent making him drop his jaw.
“What the hell?! You did?!!” Aomine squawked. The others also looked in shock at the three who had yet to deny the motion.
“W-We didn’t…I think,” Kasamatsu stuttered remembering waking up this morning without clothes.
“Wha- you think?!” Kise shouted making Kasamatsu glare at him.
“Yeah, I mean we did wake up naked this morning next to two foreign women,” Takao smirked inciting outcries from the group. Kagami slapped his leg. Kise was crying, saying something about ‘virgins’ and whatnot while Midorima spluttered various profanities. Kuroko seemed to have frozen in place while Aomine complained how Kagami did it before him.
“Stop it. We didn’t do anything more than kiss some girls at the club.” Kagami growled. “The reason you woke up this morning naked is because we came back and you four ended playing some weird stripping game dead drunk.”
“Oh, that so?” Takao asked with a look of disappointment. Wait, why are you disappointed?!
“Wait how do you remember?” Kasamatsu asked. Himuro let out a snort looking at his brother, “Oh? You never told them Taiga?”
“Told us what?” Kuroko looked at the pretty boy. Himuro smirked, “This isn’t the first time Taiga’s drank. We did it back in America when we crashed that party, remember?”
Kagami snickered, “Of course I remember. Too bad the cops came,”
Everyone didn’t know what to say upon hearing this new side of the red-head. They thought that basketball was the only thing in his head but looks like that isn’t true.
The group broke out into chatter questioning the trio about their little adventure when Aomine suddenly spoke up.
“Wait a minute…you mean to say there’s still two naked women in your apartment? On your bed?”
Kagami looked confused, “Uh yeah?”
Aomine smirked, “Why are we still here then? Let’s go to your place,”
““Dai-chan!/Aomine!/ Aomine-kun!””
