    Walking over, Techno crouched down by Phil’s side. “Phil. Phil, mate.” Blurred blue eyes met his, glassy and unfocused. “Mate. There’s no one there, it’s just me. She’s gone.”
    “What?” blinking, Phil looked past him. “No, Tech, there—“ His eyes widened. He tried to get up. “There’s someone in the house.”
