Summary
Warning! This is NOT a light and breezy fic. Mind the trigger warnings listed in the first chapter. I mean it. When I wrote one of these chapters, I gagged. Literally. Managed to trigger myself a couple dozen times throughout the rest of the story. Be safe and prioritize your mental health, friends. I’d love for you to read my story, but not at your expense.
Bucky loves Steve. Of course he does, Steve's his best friend. He just wishes that's all the love he had for Steve.
Steve and Bucky learn each other, lose each other, and find each other again. It's a love story with tons of feels and probably way too much smut. But that's how life is sometimes.This is my rewrite of how 'Civil War' could have gone if the guys running the MCU weren't cowards and just gave us our damn love story. No Sokovian Accords. Thanos is taken care of off screen. This fic is canon-compliant (mostly) ONLY until the beginning of Civil War. Then, I took a hard left turn and never looked back.
