Summary:

After a terrible misunderstanding that threats to destroy completly an strong friendship, the local butterfly guy decides to bring back two of his most crafty akumas to spread terror (and paint) in the streets of Paris.

But it may not go as smoothly as he would expect...

Notes:

I know I have to finish my other fics, but I made this little episode the other day and my cousin said it was cool, so I wanted to share it while I'm still motivated!
(Another obs: I wanted to focus more on secondary characters than the protags, how they relate to each other without Marinette or Adrien's intervention, because I think they have a lot o potential to carry an episode on their own.
this is mostly to pratice writing characters... in character, what sometimes I feel is a issue, so tell me what you think!

Chapter 1: Brainstorm

Chapter Text

"No, no way, definitively not happening."   The redhead shook his head soleinly while frowning, still refusing to believe his partner would even think on suggesting something in that scale, he had to have heard wrong. But no, he had heard just right and Marc was dead serious.

The taller boy tilted his head sligtly. He knew it was a touchy subject when he suggested it, but still had to discuss that matter. It was important to him, after all.   "Look, I know you don't like her, but don't you think she'll feel... rejected, peharps?"

Nathaniel squinted his eyes. What was him on about? Why were them even discussing it?

The issue started while doing their newest comic, based on Heroes' Day, but adding their own characters for fun and giggles. Nath were planing to include only Rena Rouge and Carapace on the story, but Marc had inssisted on putting Queen Bee as well. Nath, knowing that his friend knew how toxic the girl behind the bee mask was, though it was a joke and started laughing.

He wasn't joking.

"Why are you suddenly so worried about how Chloé will feel?"    He wasn't jealouss. Totaly not. He wouldn't be jealouss of Chloé. Why would he be upset that his best friend was worried about the feelings of a douche who lived to make his life the most miserable possible?    " Besides, she thinks our graphic novels are 'a complete waste of time'."

"Everybody deserves a second chance."

"She got thousants of second chances and spat in all of them, I'm not gonna reward her behaviour like this. Especially now that she hates Ladybug. I can't even imagine what she will do if we put her on it."

The writer sighed, leaning back on the chair. They were alone between the colorfull Art Room's walls, and he knew that if there was more people there they would agree with his friend. "But remember the premiere of The adventures of Ladybug and Chat Noir 2, and how offended she got because Queen Bee wasn't on it?"

'Offended' certainly couldn't express it enough. They had met the director on Adrien's 'party' some months ago, and after knowing about their work, the two boys had gotten invited to watch the premiere, something both couldn't believe their luck till that day. However, after knowing that Queen Bee didn't got to participate (not all heroes did, only Rena Rouge), she..... didn't liked it so much. In other words, she just didn't jump on the director's neck because Sabrina held her back.

Nathaniel hadn't thought on it, what made his face get a little bit paler. Remembering well of the "Queen Banana" incident, if they didn't include her, she wouldn't give up until she turned both of them into ashes. But there was still the risk of she getting carried away and turning it to be something about her, and not something that were supposted to be fun to two teenaged boys who just used their comics as a way to avoid the guilt that comes with being akumatized, turning their villain selves into heroes.

"I'm sincerely worried that she may want to open a hole in our skulls with her glittered high heels if we intentionally leave her out." He continued, joining his hands under his chin, leaning his elbows on the table. "I know Chloé hadn't been the most "friendly" person the last days but Queen Bee was important for the battle, I've seen with my own eyes. Queen Bee deserves some credit for it, even if Chloé surelly don't. I would feel bad to ignore it..." He said, looking to the side to avoid the other's glance.

He had commented about this before. On Heroes' Day, right after the akumatized had been released from Scarlet Moth's control, Gigantitan, that at the moment was holding an whole car like it was nothing, suddenly returned to his average size, falling righ on his mother's arms. But since gravity works to mostly everything, the car fell, ready to smash a couple of citizens underneath, until a yellow glimpse crossed the air, tying the veicule in a thin rope and allowing to break it's fall. Queen Bee held it with the help of a light pole and physics until all the citizens managed to get out. Marc, who had been helping Luka and Juleka to hold Princess Fragance (now a very confused Rose on Juleka's arms) had seen the whole thing. The yellow superheroine hadn't been humble at all about it, but at least she got some extra points of respect out of him.

"Zoé was the one who suggested it to me the other day, to be honest. She said her sister had been really grumpy at home and maybe including her as a hero may help her a little...? Y-you don't need to draw her if you feel unconfortable, I can do it, I guess..." The poor boy started sounding more nervous, like he expected his partner to reject him the idea in one blink. The redhead huffed a bit. Why did his friend have to see the best on everybody? Even after he had ripped apart his precious notebook and made him turn into an akuma (a very scary one, for that matter), Marc had forgiven him almost immediatelly, and even insisted that it had been all his own fault. Nath had bought him some pastries (and received an bright red face and a whole bunch of stutter) as an apology and also to talk things out with Marinette -she seemed more giggly and flustered to see them entering together, for some reason-, but he still felt bad about the whole ordeal.

But see the best on Chloé? Did they really had to?

"I'll think about it." He concluded, breathing heavilly through his nose. And then he was met with that look.

The sparkling emerald eyes, the softly rose-tinted lips curved in a little smile, the raven-dark locks falling on his face...

He hated that look with a burning passion.

For the simply fact that it was impossible to say no to that, it totaly made him defenseless. That son of a-

"Anyways." Nathaniel said, trying to change the subject so he wouldn't give up to that little angel clever fox beside him. His hand brushed carefully their newest finished comic, based on the New York fight. They had took half an year to finish it, but it totally worthed, especially since they planned to enter this in a contest that would happen the next day. All the poses, the lines, all that super heroes and villains worked with all the details they could, it had took all of them, working almost restlessly, not even having time to just hang out as friends like they used to. But it would alll be paid off, hopefully. "Do you remember what will happen tomorrow, right?"

The other blushed a little, putting his hand on his pocket, grasping at the receipt of the gift he had ordered to give to his friend. Tomorrow was the 1 year anniversary of when they started working together (also Reverser's birthday but they didn't need to talk about that). He at first thought that getting a gift could be a little too much and Nath wouldn't even care about it (he haven't a lot of friends to realate about it) but since his partner was remembering him of such date, maybe it was important to him too!  "Yea, absolutelly!"  He smiled, just before the other studants entered and they came back to their current work.
