    All the attention is on him again, and Damian has to resist the urge to shrink in his seat.

    He knows nothing bad is going to happen; his siblings, of all people, are the ones most likely to understand what he's going through, but he would've preferred they stay out of his business until he had time to organized his thoughts.

    In this family, no secret ever lasts long.

    It's like they say, rip the Band-Aid off.

    "Someone confessed to me during recess," he says flatly, bringing a slice of tomato to his mouth.

    The table falls into complete silence. The only sound is the clatter of silverware against the ceramic plates and someone choking, though Damian isn't entirely sure who, and he doesn't look up to find out.

    Three seconds pass, and it feels like no one is breathing, no one moving, no one saying a word.

    And then all hell breaks loose.

     

     

    Or: Damian comes to a conclusion after someone confesses to him at school and then makes the grave mistake of thinking he can keep it from his nosy family. It’s not all bad—but maybe consulting the internet would've been a better idea.

    Father is leaned against a wall with his hand over his face, Richard and Timothy are in similarly panicked states, alternating between glancing at Jason with barely concealed panic and thumbing through some information on the tablets. He assumes they are looking for a cure for the pit rage that has Jason pacing and snarling, sweat slick skin and glowing green eyes. It's a waste of time, the Lazarus Pit is not a flimsy fear gas they will be able to address by breaking down a few simple chemical components, not even Richard who admittedly has a knack for that type of thing.

    Rather than wasting any more time Damian slides past his distracted and embarrassingly unaware family members and presses his finger to the biometric lock on the outside of the cell.

    OR

    Damian helps Jason though a pit rage episode and the family learns a little bit more about their history

    So he did. He started paying attention to the family member he usually preferred to ignore.

    Movie night is always a crazy night in the manor. From popcorn throwing, booming speakers and spilled drinks. To the inevitable brawls that break out over the smallest of things, long live the soda stains from the great who's the best Disney princess debate. God bless Alfred's patience for trying his best to remove them.

    It's crazy, but it's also some of the most fun Damians ever had, so Damian never imaged its thanks to these movie nights, he finds himself shaking with fear as
    apparently being an assassin does not make one immune to horror films.

    ( In which, the bois watch a horror film. Damian refuses to admit it freaked him the flip out. Thus leading to nightmares and insomnia, that ends with tons of fluff and cuddles. Yay !!)
