infinitely in love with u

Summary:

reki wasn't a boy people liked. when he was little, in what was it, 4th grade, he confidently stated that he was a boy, not the girl identity he had been given. he screamed, and kicked, and cried as the 'real' boys beat him up during recess. but now, everyone had forgotten about the male. and he didn't mind, rather be a loner than a loser. then comes langa hasegawa.

Chapter 1: 一

Chapter Text

sketching. it was what reki did best during his dreadful classes, he would keep his eyes on his book, but his hands were drawing away on his notebook pages, skateboard designs, wolves, skateboards, this guy named shadow he met at the last skate meet up, and yet another skateboard design.

he was surprised as the chair pulled out next to him, the legs of the chair making a loud scraping noise. he quickly snapped his head up looking to who the hell was sitting next to him. it was an unspoken rule of their school, ever since that day in fourth grade, you don't sit next to the freak.

reki didn't recognize the taller male that stood next to the chair. his hair was icy blue, and his skin paler than reki's own. he was much more handsome than any of the the other boys in this school.

"mr. hasegawa, please introduce yourself." the teacher smiled passively.

the tall and handsome boy stood there quietly, glancing around the room before making eye contact with reki who smiled widely and nodded the male along. no one needed the embaresment that langa would suffer if he was quiet for much longer.

"uh, i'm langa. langa hasegawa, i-uh- i moved here from canada. that's- that's it." the shy male stuttered, nervously looking over to reki who was smiling encouragingly.

"thank you, mr.hasegawa, take a seat please." the teacher said, turning back towards the chalkboard as langa sat in his chair.

langa looked over to reki gratefully, before glancing at his notebook. he smiled and nodded giving the red head a small thumbs up.

the lunch hour rolled around quickly, reki bolting out of his seat and running around in the corner. he never went anywhere for lunch, the more popular kids would steal his lunch anyways, and he had decided he never wanted to deal with that again. normally, everyone else would leave and it would just be reki, and this 12 year old middle schooler named miya that did his homework during lunch because he was some type of skate prodigy.

but the new kid, with icy blue hair, didn't leave. he quietly pulled out his bento box that had a small little cat on it. as well as a matching chopstick case.

"hey slime, who's this?" miya asked as he sat at the desk in front of reki's and diaganol langa's.

"langa." the icy haired boy answered for himself. "and you are?"

"miya chinen." the smaller male snappily replied, taking our his own purple bento and chopstick case.

"i see." langa smiled, putting a piece of sushi in his mouth.

the three made small talk during the entire lunch hour, reki taking bites here and there from miya's bento box whenever the small boy turned his head for a tad too long. it was suprisingly nice, neither miya nor langa knew that he was trans, so it felt amazing that when they looked at him, all they saw was a boy who was far too happy for his own good, who somehow didn't have any friends.

he wasn't sure how long it would last before they figured it out and left him.

"reki, got any new skateboard designs for me?" miya chuckled, looking at the sketchbook on reki's  desk.

"well, just a few sketches, i was mainly drawing that guy shadow. he looked cool, even though he's vulgar." reki chuckled lightly.

"shadow?" langa inquired, looking between the two.

"hey, langa. what do you know about skateboarding?"

the rest of their lunch hour was spent with reki and miya explaining every detail of skateboarding, especially reki. and even miya, who talked to the male everyday, had never seen him this happy.

"miya, we should take him to 's'." reki said excitedly as miya started collecting his things.

"take him to the banch after school, i'll make sure shadow get's it set up."

mildly confused, langa sat at the bench with reki after school, the redheads beaten up board leaning against it. reki stuck his hand out like he was waiting for a card, as a bigger man walked by.

langa saw reki grab a mysterious card, that had the letter 's' written in it's logo.

"there's no way you can get into 's' without one of these. now come on, my mom's making dinner and then we can go. she'll be ecstatic to see i made a friend." reki smiled, grabbing his board and skating ahead as langa frantically ran after the male.

the two arrived to reki's house quickly, kicking off their shoes and running into the kitchen. "mom! my friend langa is staying for dinner, then we're going to go to the skate park!" reki shouted as they made it to the kitchen where his mother stood, the twins attatched to either hip.

"oh dear, is koyomi not helping out? here let me grab nanaka." reki shook his head picking up his baby sister, glancing at langa. "can you grab chihiro?"

langa carefully took the toddler from reki's mother, scared, yet chihiro seemed to be delighted.

"sorry about this." reki smiled shyly as he set nanaka on to the bedroom floor. "koyomi is at a friends, and mom can't cook with them hanging off of her." he explained, handing the two toddler crayons and paper.

"it's okay. i don't have siblings but they must be a hassle." langa smiled, leaning against reki's bed as he sat on the floor.

"pain in the ass, but i love them. and they're my baby sisters." reki smiled as chihiro started toddling her way over to him, crayon clenched tightly in her chubby little fingers.

"they're cute."  langa smiled, as nanaka started walking over to him as well.

reki had decided not to mention the fact that koyomi was still confused as to why her big sister cut all her hair off into a short and messy red style.

in hindsight, he should have, because koyomi still called him by his deadname. and the girl was home by dinner.

"so, rukia, finally have a boyfriend?" koyomi asked innocently, she was so young when it happened, she was still so young, she didn't know better. the twins, all they had known was reki, but koyomi was only four years younger than reki, the same age as miya, she was just old enough to remember her sister with long lucious red hair.

"he's not my boyfriend." reki sputtered, taking a cautious glance to langa. his stupid parents had picked a feminine name for him as well. the name rukia basically meant the princess of the moon and love. princess.

"okay." koyomi dropped the topic as they continued dinner.

the dinner ended quickly, reki ran and grabbed his phone, wallet and board.

then the two were off to 's'.
