Work Text:
Gihun had won.
He had won and was in the subway, going to the airport. His hair was freshly bleached red and his hands, he thought stained the same crimson blood. The blood was on his hands from the game.
He shook his head, trying to push the thoughts, deep down, where no one could find it. Not even himself.
He felt drowned in a dark bloody abyss every time he thought about the game, the people, his friends who died.
Grief held him by the throat and embraced him painfully.
.
But he was starting over a new leaf, going to see his daughter. An airplane away.
Or so he thought.
A cool breeze hit him, he breathed at and waited with suitcase in hand. It was bright, blue. The sun shone through glass and Gihun felt okay.
Okay.
He breathed out in relief.
No more death or blood or pain or tears or fear.
He was almost fearless.
That's when he saw them.
When he saw him.
The salesman. Doing the exact thing he did to to Gihun, to someone else.
To some poor begging fool.
The fool Gihun once was.
He felt bile arise in the back of his throat, a lump he couldn't swallow. Sweat beading on his forehead. Breath shallow.
Oh how he hated the salesman.
For dragging him into that Hellhole. That nightmare. For not telling him about the suffering and how the games could tear you limb from limb until there was no emotions left,
no pain or sympathy or care for others like what happened to Sangwoo.
But, oh how he couldn't stop thinking about him. About the addictive kisses in the darkness. The shoulder rubs every time the salesman gently said
"sir"
He couldn't stop thinking about how badly he wanted the salesman to hold him, to kiss his forehead and smile that playful smile.
He hated him but also couldn't stop thinking about him. Maybe he was going insane. Had he forgot why the salesman put him through knowingly?
Gihun ran, he dropped everything, he ran up the stairs and down to get to the salesman.
He ran until his throat burned and sides ached and chest roared.
He didn't know what he was going to do once he got to him, either hit him angrily or kiss him desperately.
He couldn't breathe when he saw the salesman about to step into the train, head turned back to see Gihun and smiling pleasantly. His eyes glinted obsidian and playfulness in his grin.
Breathe, Gihun.
"Hello, sir" he said ever so softly.
"You bastard!" Gihun hissed.
The man only continued to smile.
"Even when you're insulting me, you're really cute, Gihun, pretending you can't stop thinking about me" he grinned and took a sharp laughing breath in.
Gihun hesitated and flustered for a second. Then the salesman steps onto the train. He looked almost regretful as he turns back and looks a deflated Gihun in the eye.
Gihun thought, that was the only raw human emotion he saw the man show.
Gihun fumed and stepped forwards a the train started to move.
Light from the sun illuminated the glass and shined dangerously on the man through the glass. He put a hand up as bye. Looking smug at Gihun's frustration.
"FUCK YOU I'LL FIND YOU, ONE DAY" Gihun yelled, people stared.
"One day" Gihun calmed down and muttered under his breath.
