"Hello Skywalker, was your nap well?" the Jedi Master asked the younger, Anakin grinned from his sprawled out state on the bed. "You know you're the one who did this to me, you can stop calling me by my last name." the jedi knight teased. The older male smirk and traveled pass him to the wooden wardrobe holding their robes. The younger man followed him with his eyes, thankfully blue and not the horrid yellow of the Sith. "I could or I could continue and the second option sounds more fun." he replied. Anakin pouted and did his best to roll to his side, unable to complete the task, stopped by the ungainly bulge of his stomach. Mace, now undressed to his under tunic and pants walked to his side (or what should be his side that Anakin kept stealing) of the bed to look down to the pregnant male. Anakin giddily smiled up at him, Mace dramatically signed and smiled down at him. "How are our twins?" he asked. Anakin happily rambled about how their children kicked and punched through out the day and that they missed their papa (though Mace highly suspected that Anakin was just saying that but with the Force you'd never know). As Anakin finished he smiled at him again and with great effort scooched to make room for him on the bed. "I'll lie down with you in a minute, but first how about I make those chocolate sandwiches shaped stars you like so much for dinner, yeah?" he asked. By the way Anakin lit up in the Force that was a yes. Sharing a quick kiss with the Jedi Knight before exiting the room for the small kitchenette.
As he prepped the food he heard Anakin talking in a high pitched baby voice to their unborn twins. When he first woke up in the temple after falling through the window in the (now former) Chancellor's office he had believed it to be a dream but seeing the scars on his arm marking were Anakin had sliced of his hand, and then seeing the day's date, he knew it was all real. Waking up just months before that fateful day where he died, he knew he was given a second chance. And this time he was going to do it right. It was a slow process, gaining Skywalker's, Anakin's, trust. Befriended him, convincing him to tell the truth. Guiding him away from Palpatine. And eventually after months entering a romantic relationship with the younger Jedi and now readying to enter parenthood with the male. He knew this time he did it right. This Anakin was happy and nowhere near the darkside. What he neglected to tell the male is that he had just returned from arresting the (now former) Chancellor of the Republic. His lover did not need to know, he would soon find out, at the same time as the rest of the Jedi, but for now he needed to stay safe and relaxed. Their children needed it. Mace Windu knew he did it right this time, and hey if he got a happy and loving family out of it, he wasn't going to complain.
