“Will you be my valentine?” Dream asked abruptly, breaking the peaceful silence.
“Thought you were asking George,” Techno said not even looking up from his homework. Dream vaguely recalled saying something to him about it a few days ago.
Dream sighed dramatically, “He said no,” faux-sadness coating his words. He wasn’t actually upset George rejected him, but he would be complaining about it for at least another two months.
“So I’m your second choice?” There was a teasing tilt to the words.
“Actually third.”
Dream and Techno both look over at the familiar voice, Wilbur leaning on the doorway separating the living room from the hallway. “He asked me before he asked George. Sadly I already have plans.”
Dream could feel Techno staring at the side of his face. The heat from that combined with the heat from Will’s words made Dream as red as Techno’s cloak.
“Asshole,” Dream mumbled glaring at Will, who just smiles in response before going about his day. He was probably gonna kick puppies and yell at old ladies, dick.
Dream went back to his homework hoping to pretend the entire thing never happened, the universe hated him though. “You asked out my brother first?” Techno said as Dream willed himself to not get any redder.
“In my defense,” Dream said, Techno stared at him with an eyebrow raised—Dream didn’t need words to know he was saying “really” . “I’ve got nothing.” Techno huffed amusedly.
“Is that a no though?”
“Simp.”
“I could always ask Punz.”
“Fine. I’ll be your valentine.”
“Who’s the simp now.”
