Abducted my heart

Summary:

It had been bad enough having to deal with the first summer since his parents divorce, but on top of that his dad had met someone new. And wanted this someone new to meet Mark!

He wished that Ten would have lived up to the role of evil stepmother but unfortunately he was annoyingly polite and accommodating towards Mark. But he was determined to uncover Ten's real motives.

There was something going on; Ten had to be a golddigger, or a russian secret agent sent to assassinate Johnny. Why else would he date him?

It all came together when his cousin Jaemin was visiting his house and gushed about how he had read about there being a "secret lab" in the middle of the desert, where people came in search for proof of extraterrestrial life. He could practically see the cogs turning in his dad's mind.

So there he was, in an old, smelly camper, in the middle of nowhere, watching his dad and his new flame, being all lovey dovey while his annoying cousin chaperoned.

Chapter Text

Mark looked out of the window at the dusty old trailer park and sighed. He was at the top of his prime, (at least he assumed you peaked at sixteen) — this was not how he planned to spend his long awaited summer-break.

"Hey, Jaemin, why didn't we at least go to area 51 instead? Don't they have hotels and shit there?"

"51 is so mainstream, you can find sh- Oh my God! Shut up Mark, this is my jam!"

“So...hey, Markie, my only and favorite son!” Johnny tried to shout from the driver seat over the sound of Jaemin’s obnoxious 90s-throwback mixtape.

So tell me what you want, what you really really want…

“We were thinking about just eating something light now and go out for dinner later."

...I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want

"Ten brought these really good ciabattas, what do you want on yours?”

So tell me what you want what you really really want

“We got boiled sausages and canned beef!” Johnny cheered.

I’ll tell you what I want what I really really want

He suddenly perked up in realization. “Oh! And Ten and I found some semi-expired swiss cheddar in the fridge in the basement just before we picked you up!”

“I WANNA, I WANNA, I WANNA, I WANNA, I WANNA REALLY REALLY REALLY WANNA ZIGAZIG-AH!” Jaemin screamed at the top of his lungs.

Definitely not how Mark had planned to spend his summer.

(How could a cheese be semi expired?! Either it was or wasn't?!)

It had been bad enough having to deal with the first summer since his parents divorce, but on top of that his dad had met someone new. And wanted this someone new to meet Mark!

It all came together when his cousin Jaemin was visiting his house and gushed about how he had read about there being a "secret lab" in the middle of the desert, where people came in search for proof of extraterrestrial life. He could practically see the cogs turning in his dad's mind.

Mark had never wanted to strangle someone more in his life. (Although that time in kindergarten when Wooyoung cluttered all over Mark's butterfly drawing came close)

So there he was, watching his dad and his new flame, Ten, being all lovey dovey while his annoying cousin chaperoned.

IF YOU WANNA BE MY LOVER-” Jaemin pointed at Mark, wanting him to sing the backup vocals.

Sigh.

"You gotta get with my friends,” he mumbled begrudgingly.

"Mark, sweetie. It’s so nice to finally meet you, Johnny has told me so much about you.”

Don't get him wrong, Mark loved his dad, but really? Johnny was a divorced real estate agent, living in a standard house in the suburbs with his moody teenager. Ten was a thai fashion designer, dabbled in a successful career as an artist, spoke 5 languages and had an apartment in Paris!!!

Johnny may be amazing but he dressed like a middle aged dad (well, he kind of is one) drove a Volvo and watched sports in his freetime. For Christ's sake, he thought Yahtzee was legitimately fun!?

No, there must be something sketchy with Ten.

Johnny parked the large rented motorhome on the spot Ten had reserved weeks earlier and grunted once he turned off the engine.

"So, who's craving some sausage?" Johnny asked, wiggling his eyebrows, causing Mark to make barfing sounds and Ten to slap his shoulder. "What!?" he said and really he could be so clueless sometimes.

The boiled sausages weren't that bad though and the ciabattas were really good, although no one else dared to even look at the cheese, which Johnny took as an excuse to eat the whole thing himself. They actually had a pretty nice evening, playing Yahtzee and eating snacks. That is until Johnny's stomach started groaning in a foreboding way. A few minutes later he was careening for the bushes.

"Uhm, why don't you two take a walk and I'll take care of...that",Ten said just as the noises from the bushes started to sound as if liquids were coming out of far too many orifices, so they thankfully took off, yelling a "feel better" at the bushes as they hastily walked off.
