A conversation with Courageous Colonel Sheppard and Daring Doctor McKay.
I only got to ask a few questions… but I asked the important ones!

Hi Fans!!
So when we wrote the top ten McShep moments a few months ago, ‘ Why haven’t Sheppard and McKay banged yet.’ we were NOT expecting the response. You guys came back with some amazing comments, artwork and even fanfictions!
We adored reading them all and we just had to reward you the only way we know how… with more content, more articles, and more interviews.
I was ever so lucky, I got to speak with the dynamic duo themselves, the legends who make up McShep, Doctor McKay and Colonel Sheppard and what a conversation it was.
Here is how it went!
AEM - Thank you so much for meeting with me. I realise that you are both very busy but it really is a pleasure to meet you.
John Sheppard - The pleasure is entirely mine.
Rodney McKay - Agreed.
AEM - So how is it at work at the moment? Without giving away all the classified details?
RM - Busy. Really busy. But progressive.
JS - Yes, busy, but we are enjoying it. It is nice to have everything out in the open.
AEM - Well… not everything?
JS - No… not everything but all the fun things. Sheppard then winked at me, and I melted a little inside.
AEM - Anything you wish you could tell us?
RM - laughing Plenty, doesn’t mean we will though.
JS - Laughs.
AEM - Worth a try right? Ok, ok, what is your favourite thing about Atlantis?
JS & RM look at each other, RM nods allowing JS to answer first.
JS - Being by the sea, it is not Earth’s sea, but the ocean is my favourite part.
RM - erm… new science, working with close friends, new opportunities to discover new things nobody has discovered before.
AEM - New science and the ocean? Those are two very different answers. Polar opposite you could say?
JS - We are polar opposite people…
RM - Snorts and laughs , Oh absolutely.
AEM - But best friends right?
JS - The bestest! JS slaps RM on the back and RM smiles at him.
RM - He is one of the nearest friends I’ve had.
JS - Buddy!
RM - It’s true!
AEM - You guys are adorable!
RM&JS - laughs
AEM - So what comes next for you both? Are you stopping on Atlantis?
RM - Yes, I will be for the foreseeable future. There is just so much to discover, I am happier there than I have ever been and I love my work and my life. It is an excellent place to live and no day is the same. I could do without- wait no can’t talk about that.
JS - chuckles Almost buddy. Yeah, for myself I am staying too. I wake up to the sound of the ocean everyday, I get to work with my best friends, I get to do things and fly things that are literally out of this world. I will retire there if I can.
RM - Ooooh. Excellent idea!
JS - It has been known to happen.
AEM - Now guys, you have a massive fan base, how did you feel when this happened? Did you expect it? Did you freak out?
JS - Being in the Air Force and being in various secret units over the years I never ever expected fans… however I think we have some fairly good ones… very creative bunch.
RM - Very creative. I always wanted the recognition, or thought I did. I wasn’t expecting the recognition I now have. It has been very different from what I expected. But no less enjoyable.
AEM - They are so creative! Have you seen the art?
JS - Yep.
RM - Ooohh…. Yes.
AEM - Any favourites or memorable ones?
JS - I couldn’t pick one honestly, they are just very skilled, lets say that.
RM - to single someone out wouldn’t be fair. And there are still so many we haven’t seen. I really couldn’t pick.
AEM - And what about the subject matter?
JS & RM smile here and look at each other.
JS - I was wondering if you would get to that…
RM - the mammoth size elephant in the room.
JS - That article you wrote was very interesting.
RM - Fascinating. You have spent a lot of time looking into us.
JS - A lot of time.
AEM - laughing nervously So you read it? Well… do you have an answer to the question I posed?

RM - chuckling I really can't believe you asked.
AEM - Come on, I had to ask. Well?
JS - I think it would ruin the mystery.
AEM - Oh come on! Dr McKay?
RM - chuckling but pauses and then looks thoughtful.
RM - I have a question in response to this... What makes you think we haven’t?
