Hermione was ready
Harry was going to pick up both her and her parents up to finally show where he lived with his family and she honestly couldn't wait to see both it and the baby unicorns Melody and Sapphira had gotten somehow. She was practically bursting with curiosity to see where he lived and how according to him and his mother Lily, no muggle would even notice three bloody unicorns prancing around someone's house
When the doorbell rang, she almost ran towards the door and opened it. "Hey Hermione. Ready to go?" Harry asked with a grin as he and his parents were standing there, knowing she had probably been jumping off the walls. "Yes! I... professor Morgan? What are you doing here?" Hermione asked in utter confusion. "Well, you can't expect my mum to bring four people at once, can you?" Harry asked and Hermione had to concede at that
With Morgana quickly taking the kids by the hands and Merlin taking the adults, they quickly apparated again and Hermione's parents almost threw up. "It's okay. The first time is always the most uncomfortable." The ancient wizard said as Hermione gasped. "You live in a castle?!" She asked in excitement. "No, I live in the town around it. The castle is used for like primary school for young witches and wizards." Harry explained. "Ah. Pretty small place. You never felt cooped up in here?" Hermione's mother Emma asked in worry
"Ma'am, it's not like I was never allowed to leave. I went to Diagon Alley, quidditch matches and vacations. Granted, for the former two, I had to be disguised because of the whole "Boy-who-lived" thing, but I had fun." Harry replied and she agreed with it as they walked in. "Hey, Hermione. Nice to see you." Morgan greeted them at the town gate. "Morgan? You live here too?" Hermione asked in surprise.
"Have been ever since Harry's parents brought me and mum here." Morgan chuckled as Morgana immediately changed back to her original appearance. "Makes sense and.... where did Ms. Evans go?" Hermione asked as she turned back around and didn't see "Lily" there. "I'm right here. It's just that my other appearance is a glamour for reasons we'll explain later." Morgana explained as they led the Granger family further inside
They met Melody, Sapphira, Horace, Draco, Neville and their families in the dining hall of the castle where they could talk freely, Hermione very much surprised that practically every single one of her new school friends lived in the same place and no one had actually told her. "So what's the name of this place?" Dan, Hermione's father asked as they quickly sat down. "Camelot." Merlin answered with a grin on his face as he delivered this bombshell. "You live in a place named after the Camelot from Arthurian legends?" Emma asked.
"This is the Camelot from the legends." Morgana answered with a chuckle, she and her family and friends laughing at seeing the faces of the muggle family. "You're kidding, right? Like this isn't the actual Camelot?" Hermione asked as she looked at all her fridge. "Why would we lie?" Draco asked with a smirk, enjoying this as honestly, the biggest reveals hadn't even happened yet. "I'm in Camelot?!" The girl squealed and they nodded.
"Wait? If this really is Camelot, how did no one ever find it?" Emma asked as she could barely believe it. "Very powerful wards erected several centuries ago when Camelot was mostly abandoned. Even more powerful than those at Hogwarts, especially since a certain old coot never got to lay his filthy little fingers all over them." Merlin explained, still incredibly sore about the whole ward thing as Morgana rubbed his back and kissed his cheek
"Wait... are you together?" Hermione asked as she looked between the two of them and they nodded. "Hermione, meet my dad." Harry finally introduced the man as he leaned against him, but without using his name just yet. "Your dad?! Oh my god! So exciting to properly meet you!" The girl immediately replied happily as she ran forwards and hugged the guy, completely forgetting he was her professor during school. She absolutely loved her father and had actually pitied Harry for seemingly not having one, but seeing that he actually did made her very happy
Merlin chuckled as he immediately hugged her back, seeing Morgana and the others smirking at him from the corner of his eyes. He let Hermione go and she whirled around at Harry as she hit him on the arm. "This is why you always stayed back in potions isn't it? You could've just told me." She hissed at him. "I'm afraid that's my fault, Ms. Granger. You see, not everyone at Hogwarts is at our side." Merlin explained with a small smile
About at least an hour later, the Granger family was mostly caught up on the situation with help from the others. "So, you're working under a man you hate, just to protect your son?" Dan asked and Merlin nodded. "That's very brave of you." Emma commented and he nodded in gratitude as he held his daughters close to him. He had only returned recently and was trying time spend as much time as possible with them before he had to go again.
"I've lived a pretty long life before this and this is the first time my wife and I have had children, so I'd honestly do anything for them." Merlin answered, looking at his children and they immediately smiled at him. "How long have you lived then?" Hermione asked curiously. "Since around 500 A.D give or take. My husband and I are immortal, which is the biggest reason why we use glamours as we don't want anyone to find that out and if the same witch and wizard keep reappearing, they'll become suspicious." Morgana explained as she took over
The Granger family stared at her, unable to believe that part. "Immortal? Come on, you can't be serious. Next thing you're gonna tell me is that professor Morgan is Merlin himself!" Hermione laughed, only to see the faces of the others as she hit the nail on the head. "You're Merlin?!" She screeched at the wizard himself. "Guilty." He replied and the girl sagged as her brain tried to take everything in. Her best friend's father was the most famous wizard ever
For some reason, she knew they were telling the truth despite what she said. Looking at them all, she saw not a single ounce of mischief in their eyes. "If you're Merlin and I'm not saying that you are, then what does make you?" Dan asked as he looked at Harry's mother. "Morgana Le Fay." She answered with a straight face, something in her expression also telling the muggles that she wasn't kidding. "Okay, wow. This is a lot to take in." Emma muttered
"Take your time." Morgana said with a shrug as the others decided they weren't needed anymore and left. "See you soon, Hermione!" Draco called as his parents led him out. Only Harry and his family, the Grangers and Horace stayed as the latter offered some light calming draughts. They drank it and took deep breaths. "So you lived in a legendary place, once filled with legendary people and now you're saying your parents are two of the most legendary witches and wizards ever?!" Hermione asked with a slightly hysterical tone in her voice
"Yup, that pretty much sums it up." Harry replied with a grin and she let out a laugh. "I can't believe it. No wonder you never told me much about where you came from. Anymore surprises?" She asked sarcastically. "Just one more. I've got a couple of uncles and aunts who are immortal as well. One of them is the librarian assistant at Hogwarts." Harry replied. "Okay and who are they?" Hermione asked, ready for another bombshell
Things were already so incredibly weird as it were. She wondered if they could get any weirder. "Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin." Harry answered. "Of course they are. Wait, who's the assistant?" Hermione asked. "Auntie Ro." He replied and she sat back as she tried to take it in. "Can we see the unicorns now?" She asked and they nodded as they stood up and walked out, deciding this was enough for now
Hermione immediately fell in love with Illaria, Eirlys and Imelda and since she was a girl, the mother let her close to her children. "So, does Arthur exist as well?" She asked as they petted them "Yeah, but I heard uncle Ric and auntie Helga talking about how his body disappeared from Avalon where it was being guarded by the Lady of the Lake, who gave these unicorns." Harry explained in a whisper. "Where did he go?" Hermione asked quietly. "No one knows. I think mum and dad hope that he has been reborn like uncle Horace." He replied
"I can't believe your parents are bloody Merlin and Morgana. Didn't you ever feel overwhelmed?" She asked. "Not really. I grew up with the knowledge, so they're just mum and dad to me." He replied with a shrug. "Why don't your parents come out in the open, apart from being immortal?" She asked. "There's one more immortal in the world. My mother's sister Morgause. As bad as you think my mum is in the legends, she's much worse." He said
Hermione paled at hearing this. "How bad is she?" She asked. "She's like Maleficent in "Sleeping Beauty." If she finds out that mum and dad have me and Melody and Sapphira, she'll try to hurt us to hurt them." He said in a solemn tone and Hermione gulped, immediately understanding how bad it was. "I hope we'll never meet her." She muttered. "Same here." He replied and she grinned, knowing that her friend was still her friend despite his parentage
Despite all the shocking news she had gotten today, she took comfort in the fact that Harry was Harry. No matter what
