James rubs his fist against his eye, leaning his head back, “Where are you headed?”
“Where ya’ goin’?” She asks, giving him a pretty smile, her nose scrunching up.
He chokes on a laugh and rolls his eyes. It figures she’s not headed anywhere specific, he thinks, letting his eyes roam over her, “You running from something?”
“Nope!” She says brightly, running the back of her hand over her forehead to wipe away the droplets of sweat. “Just the heat.”
James picks up Hermione off the side of the road. Their trip gets derailed when a storm rolls in, too bad there's only one bed at the motel.
