“Cas…?” Dean called out, looking around the busy sidewalk where the Angel had been waiting, but now was not. He walked back into the store he was just shopping in and scanned over the racks of clothes. Still, nothing. “Hmm.” Dean pulled out his phone and called him. Nothing.
“What’s up?” Sam said as he and Eileen spotted Dean and made their way through the crowd towards him.
“I don’t know where Cas went.” Dean answered, doing one more scan of the crowd. After Sam also tried to call, Dean called Jack. “Hey. Is Cas with you?” He asked.
“Nope. I told him I was getting his and your gifts today so to stay away.” Jack replied, the child-like grin almost audible in his voice.
“Hmm…” Dean sighed again. “Well if you see him let me know.” Jack agreed and hung up. Cas? Babe, where did you go? Dean prayed, then looked around for the Angel to appear; but again, nothing.
The three began to search through the other stores, all coming up empty. Sam finally decided to just use the gps tracker for Cas’ phone. And it pinged him being fairly close. “Huh. It says he is straight ahead.” Sam said, showing Dean the approximate location.
They followed the tracker and it led them to where a group of carolers were serenading the crowds of shoppers.
They heard him before they saw him, and when they saw him he was as red as the Santa hat he wore.

Cas sat pouty faced and arms crossed as Dean, attempted through his bouts of wheezing laughter, to get out the story Cas had told them, for Jack.
“They thought he was part of their caroling choir.” Dean snorted. “Which, I get…” he added motioning towards Cas’ usual attire with a bonus Santa hat and holiday scarf. Cas rolled his eyes, face still burning from the teasing he had endured the whole way back to the bunker.
“And the best part, he was just going along with it!” Sam added.
“ Uh…Haaaark the Herald angels sing…!” Dean mocked in his best impression of Cas’ voice. Then he leaned in to add a tender, apologetic, kiss to his story before he had Cas too annoyed. “It was adorable.”
“Hmmm.” Cas mumbled, before his scowl finally faded to a smile and he allowed himself to see the humor in the mix up, as well.
