Sam and Dean ran back up to the door like two giant kids, all smiles and giggles and just overall high spirits. “Man, I can’t believe he made it snow!” Dean laughed, excitedly, as he took his first step into the cold fluff. “When’s the last time we got to play in snow?!”
Sam watched Dean reach down and pick up a handful, and clump it into a ball. “Never.” He laughed, then scowled as Dean turned and launched the snowball at him. “Seriously?”
Dean grinned and shrugged, wiping his hands on his pants before the snow could soak through his rarely used mittens. “How did you not see that coming?” Sam rolled his eyes and followed his brother further into the makeshift winter wonderland. They realized it only went so far out before ending and the ground turned back into the cold dry dirt they were used to that time of year.
“Dean! Sam!” Jack smiled as he and Cas met them with a large bowl filled with snow. “I’m going to make snow cream with Eileen! I made sure Miracle was nowhere near this!” He assured them before showing them the fresh white snow inside.
“Sounds awesome, kid!” Dean said.
They watched as Jack headed back into the bunker with his bowl, and Miracle on his tail. Dean looked at Cas and laughed at how red the angel's nose was. He pulled him in and kissed the frozen tip, causing the red to spread across Cas’ face.
“Dean, heads up!” Sam called from behind them and as the older brother turned he was hit directly in the chest with a snowball. Dean playfully glared as Sam burst out laughing, and Cas watched them both confused. Dean knelt down and scooped up another ball, packing it without breaking eye contact with Sam. “You really wanna start this?” Sam warned, then was hit in the gut only seconds later. “Alright!”
The two began mercilessly slinging snowballs at each other, until they were almost out of breath. They paused, and noticed Cas still staring blankly at them. Dean reached down and quickly formed a new ball. He straightened up, looking directly at his angel, with a mischievous grin. “Dean…” Cas said, cocking his brow. “You wouldn’t…”
“Oh…” Dean laughed as he flung the ball of snow at Cas’ face. “…I would!” The angel blocked it with his arm, looking almost hurt by the attack . “Oh come on, Babe. It’s just for fun.”
“I know.” Cas said quietly, reaching down into the snow. “I just… assumed… you would be on my team.” He snapped back up and the ball hit Dean right between the eyes before he even saw it coming. “Guess I was wrong.” Cas finished with a wide grin across his face.

Eileen stepped out of the bunker and made her way up the few outdoor steps. She wrapped her coat around her tight and laughed at the two grown men and eon’s old angel acting like children in their little batte. “Hey!” She yelled, waving her arms to get their attention, then startling a little as a rogue snowball hit her in the shoulder.
“Oh god. Honey, I’m so sorry.” Sam gasped, hurrying to his wife, as Jack stepped out of the bunker.
Eileen laughed and signed * no problem *. Then she brushed the snow off her coat. She looked over to Jack and grinned. “What do you think, Jack? Me and you against three old men?” Jack laughed and nodded excitedly, as Sam turned and ran back to Dean and Cas.
