Work Text:
Oh the weather outside is frightful…
But the fire is sure delightful…
And since there’s no place to go…
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Dean hummed along to the song as he poured the warm milk into each cup. He then placed them on a tray and carried it into the war room where everyone was gathered.
“Ooo! Thanks!” Jack smiled as he took his cup, but his face quickly changed when he saw the milk. “I thought we were having cocoa?” He asked, confused.
“We are.” Dean laughed, pulling out a box full of green and red wrapped balls. He handed Jack one first then passed them around to the others. Jack unwrapped his and stared at the chocolate ball, still confused. “Go on, drop it in.” Dean said eagerly, as he plopped his into his own cup.
Jack gently dropped the ball into the milk and watched. Instantly the milk began turning brown as the ball melted. “Oh, wow!” Jack beamed as little festive shaped marshmallows began floating to the top. He looked up and smiled at Dean, then took a sip.
Dean sat back pleased with himself, and Cas wrapped an arm around him. The Angel pressed a kiss into Dean's temple and whispered, “you’re really making this season special for him, thank you.”
“He deserves it.” Dean replied. “We all do.”
They spent the evening together, sipping their cocoa, and enjoying the warmth from the faux fireplace Dean insisted they needed; for aesthetic and whatnot.
Let it snow made its third round of the night, and Jack quietly listened to the song. “Does it ever snow here for Christmas?” He suddenly asked.
“Nah…” Dean answered, almost sadly. “We usually get our snow In January, and even then it’s not much.”
“Hmm…” Jack hummed.

“Uh… Dean.” Sam called from the bunker door the next morning. “You’re gonna want to see this!”
“What!?” Dean grumbled, rubbing his eyes, still half asleep. He wrapped his robe around him better and ascended the stairs, shivering as a breeze flowed in from the open door. “What the…” he gasped as he looked out at the newly fallen snow.
Outside Jack and Cas were busy making a snowman, and Miracle was busy making yellow snow. “Come on, guys!” Jack smiled and waved the brothers over.
Dean and Sam looked out at the snow, then at each other, before rushing back inside to get dressed.
