Chapter Text
Angel x David
A small smile graces their lips as David wraps his arm around their waist, pulling them onto his chest. They plant a gentle kiss upon his bare skin, leaning back into his warmth, grinning when he mumbles and yawns into the pillow.
"I didn't think you'd be up so early." His voice is raspy as he plants a kiss on their forehead.
Angel giggles. "Me neither but after last night, I didn't think I could be."
A moment of comfortable silence passes and they idly trace patterns on the skin of his shoulder, humming contently as he plays with the loose strands of their hair.
The golden rays of sun filtered through the curtains, making their skin appear sun-kissed and highlighting all the freckles David's cheeks and arms had to offer, leaving Angel in awe of the sight.
He is so beautiful, calm and peaceful in simple moments like this. Lips slightly parted and eyes barely open, honed in and focused on them and their movements.
"You're so beautiful." They whispered, earning a not so stubble snort from their mate. "I mean it, silly." Angel sits up and their hands find his cheeks, caressing his skin so lightly that the touch makes his heart speed up. They move a little closer, so close that he can feel their breath against his flesh.
"I love your freckles, Davey. They look so pretty in the sunlight, they look wonderful in general but-
David cuts them off as he cups their cheeks and presses a soft kiss to their lips, moaning happily against them. Angel gently curls their hand onto his neck, tracing their fingertips down to his shoulder and arms, eliciting a whimper from their partner.
"You don't play fair." He pouts, groaning as they grin at his current, needy state. "But I guess that's why I love you, my dear troublemaker."
Angel rakes their fingers through his hair, planting a kiss on his cheek. "That's why I win and I love you too, my sweet wolf."
Vincent x Lovely
A quiet yawn escapes their lips as their room slowly comes into view, having just opened their eyes moments ago. Their vision is still slightly blurred, as they turn onto the other side of the bed, only to find it empty.
The quiet noise of Vincent starting the coffee maker causes Lovely to squeeze their eyes shut at the sudden sound, groaning as they roll off the bed, strolling dazedly toward the kitchen.
Lovely stands in the doorway, leaning against the wall as they watch their vampire grab another plate from the cabinet, placing it onto the counter as two slices of toast jump in the toaster, quickly capturing Vincent's attention. He spreads butter over each of them, careful not to dent the crust, he knew Lovely would appreciate it either way.
"Morning to you too, Lovely. How did you sleep?" He greets, setting two mugs of coffee and hot chocolate down onto the table, motioning them to sit at the table as he finishes up with the toast.
"Wonderfully. Better than I have in months." They replied, gently curling their hands around the cream coloured mug, lifting it so it hovers near to their lips, blowing the hot liquid and slowly taking a sip, relishing the sweet taste.
"I'm glad, sorry if I woke you, I did try to be quiet, I promise." Vincent settles the plates on the table, moving back to the countertops to dust away any crust the slices of toast may have left behind.
Lovely giggles, "I know love, I believe you and thank you for this." They take a few more sips of their hot chocolate before having a bite of their toast.
"Anytime Lovely." He says and he means it. He hasn't had to be domestic in what feels like forever but with them, it feels far more normal than it ever did. His house no longer felt like a house, it feels like a home.
A home for both of them. For as long as time would allow.
Vincent takes a seat at the table, "I love you, so damn much, little one." He says, kissing the hinge of their jaw.
"I love you too, more than anything." They smile, caressing his knuckles and resting their head on his shoulder.
Avior x Starlight
Starlight sucked in a sharp breath as the water fell from the showerhead, patiently waiting for it to warm, which it did moments later.
They sigh as their sleepy muscles adjust to the tiresome movements as they lean their back against the tiled wall, running their hands through their soaked hair. Starlight bit their lip as they reached for the shampoo, clasping it tightly before yawning and laughing shortly after.
The sound of the shower curtain opening causes a knowing smile to grace their lips. "Well, it took you long enough." They remark, pulling the curtains to reveal their demon smirking at their sarcastic tone.
Avior snorts, climbing into the bath rub and pulling the curtain back, covering them both. "You haven't even started yet, so I'd say that I'm right on time."
Starlight raises an eyebrow, gripping his shoulders. "Oh really? You're as arrogant as ever darling."
In response, he cups their chin, tilting it upward and kissing them with a passion that almost made their legs give out. Avior grips their hips, pulling them as close as possible, while their arms wrap around his neck, moaning against him.
"I hate you."
"I love you too, Starlight." He grins into their lips, slowly pulling away and taking the shampoo from their hands. "Let's get you cleaned up then."
He opens the shampoo, rubbing it between his palms before working it into the strands of their hair, massaging it into their scalp, earning a small whimper from them. Avior watched as they relaxed under his touch, letting his hands slide down, rubbing circles into the side of their neck and over their shoulders.
"This feels...incredible, Avi." Starlight hums in approval as his thumbs work over their shoulder blades, looking for any knots or tense spots he could tend to.
"I'm glad, you've been so overworked recently, it's the least I can do." Avior refocused his attention on their hair, working the shampoo into a thick foam, using a cup to rinse it from their hair, mindful of not letting any run down Starlight's face.
The scent of strawberries and honey fills the bathroom, tickling his senses in the best possible way as he works the conditioner through their hair.
Not long after, he tilts their head back, rinsing the conditioner out and guiding them under the showerhead. The warm water meets his skin as Starlight plants kisses to his naked chest, gasping when his hands roam around their body.
"I love you, even when you are being a tease." They say, earnestly with a hint of amusement as his eyes light up.
"Starlight, I love you more." Avior turns the showerhead off, carrying them into their bedroom and resting them on the edge of the bed, drying them off with a towel as they babbled away on what to have for breakfast.
He loves their voice, he loves everything about them.
Huxley x Freelancer
The scent of fresh bread, waffles and eggs filled the kitchen, along with the sounds of bacon strips sizzling in the frying pan as Huxley used the spatula to turn them around. The eggs are scrambled, with pinches of salt, along with crushed pepper seasoning, just the way the freelancer likes them.
After a long week of exams and long study sessions, the earth elemental figured they should relax for a while, while he took care of them. He hates seeing them so exhausted and worn out at the end of the day.
Huxley narrows his eyes, focusing as he places the scrambled eggs onto one side of the plate, making space for all the other foods he had cooked. The bacon soon follows, sitting comfortably at the edge of their plate, followed by carefully sliced fresh bread. Huxley settles the plate onto a tray, right beside a napkin, cutlery and cup of apple juice.
Huxley searches the cupboards, humming when he finds a jar of marmalade to spread on his slice of toast.
Not long after, once having cleaned the kitchen and put everything back in its place, Huxley holds both sides of the tray as he makes his way upstairs, careful not to spill any of the food or drink on the floor. Huxley’s gaze flickers from the tray to the ground, avoiding anything in his path that could make him stumble or trip.
He approaches the bedroom door, the sound of the mumbling and pulling the sheets makes him softly chuckle as he reaches out to open the door, quietly closing it behind him by leaning his back against it.
Huxley sets the tray onto a small cabinet near the tv, flicking the light on as the room is dark, earning a grumble from his tired partner.
The earth elemental makes his way toward the bed, sitting on the edge as they stirred and slowly open their eyes, blinking a couple times to adjust to the light. “Hux.” They rasp, grinning from ear to ear as his hand finds theirs, engulfing it entirely. The freelancer grunts as they sit up, leaning against the headboard as they rub their eyes. “Morning, you.”
Huxley claps both their hands, gently pulling them closer to his chest. “Morning, pretty eyes.” He traces the line of their jaw and kisses their forehead, while they rest their head on his arm.
“You’re sweet, thanks Hux. I love you and that food smells amazing.”
Huxley smiles, glad that they could finally have a break. “No problem and I love you too.”
