Chapter Text

The three lives rock, it looked like how it did when Feng Jiu was still a mere fairy. Chasing for Dong Hua Di Jun's love. Feng Jiu wanted to laugh, remembering her young self. She was only 30,000 years old when she desperately tried to write Dong Hua's name on the rock next to hers. Yes, she was that foolish. She had tried to change fate but fate can never be changed, not by her or even Dong Hua Di Jun, the former ruler of everything.

Feng Jiu smiled at her youth, how foolish she was, and still is.

"Your Highness Feng Jiu, what brings you here? I still remembered the last time you came her, I wasn't too happy that you had disturbed the fates I had wrote down," The voice was of a female's, graceful yet cold. "I had came for a favor."

Feng Jiu knew this wouldn't be easy since the last time she came, she had caused a ruckus. Oh how stubborn she was, and still is.

"Oh? What favor?" Fate taunted her, knowing this wouldn't be easy. If Feng Jiu needed a favor, it meant that she needs to pay Fate back something and Fate was delighted seeing that she would have payback on the girl who had tried to change fate.

"I want to remove my name from the three lives rock."

"Preposterous!" Fate's voice cried out. In all her years she never had someone requested such favor. There was one and that's when she connected the dots. Fate felt pity, the little fox must have loved that old rock dearly. "Please!" Feng Jiu kneeled, begging.

"Your Highness, you don't know what consequences you will face..." Fate sounded pitiful but stern. It was a warning and the goddess knew that. "I am willing to face the consequences."

Fate sighed, knowing how stubborn the girl is. "Fine." Feng Jiu smiled, "Thank you Fate!" Bowing politely. "But I need something in return."

"Of course," Feng Jiu nodded, her expression turned serious.

"I want your emotions in return," Fate requested, her voice was stern. Feng Jiu knew Fate wouldn't change her answer but she still hesitated. Was it worth it to exchange her emotions for her name to be removed from the three lives rock? Was he worth it? The answer was yes, he is worth it and she knew, fox love for life so even if she was forced to marry someone, it would be loveless since her heart longs for the master of Tai Chen palace.

700 years and she still haven't changed, stubborn as ever Fate noted.

"Very well, I will give you my emotions if you remove my name from the three lives stone," Feng Jiu said calmly, determined to have her name remove. Fate sighed once again, "Have you ever thought of how your fated partner will feel?"

"It would be loveless as my heart belongs to another, it wouldn't make him feel any different if I remove my name from him. Since it would probably be more hurtful to see your fated partner loving another," Feng Jiu replied confidently knowing she was right. She couldn't imagine Di Jun loving another, it hurts to even think about.

"Very well."

In a blink of an eye Feng Jiu felt something pulling out from her. The Queen gasped, her dark eyes shut tightly. When the feeling was over she panted, gasping for air. Her dark brown eyes looked at the golden light floating in the air in front of her.

"These are your feelings, it is mine now. Farewell Queen of Qing Qiu."

Just like that her name was vanished from the three lives stone like it was never there. It should've never been there. If his name wasn't then why was hers there?

Feng Jiu felt different, she tried smiling but didn't felt any joy. She pinched herself but couldn't yelped, only feeling the pain within her. She tried picturing Di Jun with another girl but couldn't get angry or jealous. In fact, she couldn't feel the love she once had for the silver haired man.

Feng Jiu was shocked but it was brief, her expression remained emotionless.

This was what she wanted wasn't it? Feng Jiu looked at the spot where her name used to be. The girl smiled but it didn't looked genuine. It was like the kind of smile when you are forced to take a picture with your family and they tell you to smile.

The red fox then thought that she shouldn't be there anymore and teleported back to her fox den.

"Your Highness!" The familiar voice of the tree spirit, Mi Gu rang in her ear. "Mi Gu."

Mi Gu frowned, this wasn't like Feng Jiu at all. Where had she been anyways? The only time she see her like that was...

"Have you went to Tai Chen palace again?!" Mi Gu cried out, worriedly. If her father had heard about this...

"Why would I go there?" The little Queen questioned, raising a brow. "I thought you..."

"Well whatever it is you think of me and the master in Tai Chen palace, it is over so please don't speak about it anymore," Feng Jiu's voice was clear and powerful, unlike her usual cheeky self.

"Your Highness..." Mi Gu couldn't believe that this was his Queen, it was so unlike her. Where had she been to have changed so drastically after coming back?

"No, this won't do," Mi Gu said in a hushed whisper. "Hm?"

"This won't do!" Mi Gu cried out, "Who are you?!"

"I'm Bai Feng Jiu, Queen of Qing Qiu, daughter of Bai Yi," Feng Jiu said coldly it sent chills down the tree spirit's spine.

"No you aren't!" Mi Gu yelled, very unlike of him. "What do you mean?" Feng Jiu asked, her voice as cool as ever.

"You aren't Bai Feng Jiu!" Just like that he teleported away, only leaving a white mist in front of her.

'Strange,' she thought as she sighed and went to make herself some tea.
