Summary
Merlin was raised by Gaius after his mother died birthing him. When his omega status is revealed at puberty, he is taken to the omega wing in Uther's court where he is raised to be sold to a noble on his 18th birthday, like all omegas are. The fact that he is a rare male omega leads Uther to offer him up to other kingdoms if they will sign a peace treaty as part of the sale. His presentation attracts four kings including Cenred, who is determined to buy the young omega, but a wrench is thrown in his plans when Arthur arrives and discovers Merlin is his true mate.
