   Summary

   “Have I reached the realm of the gods?” Adora asked hopefully, her voice shrill over the volume of the rushing river.

   The girl whipped around at the sound of her voice, her hand poised over a dagger Adora saw was attached to her waist. When she met Adora’s eyes, she frowned, wiping blood from her lips with the back of her hand. Adora felt a shiver run down the back of her neck as gooseflesh broke out on her forearms.
