"Buck?" You call in a thin voice, desperation dripping from your entirety. He stands statue-still as you trudge forwards, those blue eyes now glaring down at you with an expression that you weren't used to seeing on his face: apathy.
Still, you can't stop yourself from reaching for him.
This Bucky was not one you were familiar with, one you hadn't been introduced to yet. Every ounce of trust that you had built up within the past few days was gone from the sunburnt apples of his cheeks. You hesitate at the realization, one that causes a lightning strike to jolt down your spine:
