Work Text:
Pulcinella,
My visit home didn’t go as well as we all hoped.
Asteria never arrived, I’m pretty sure she avoided coming home because she didn't want to see my face. I haven't seen her since Dad took me to the Palace, she always skips our meetings and never gives a good excuse on why. I wish she would just tell me she hates me.
Tonia and Anthon were better this time. They didn't yell. But it was still too quiet.
Teucer was excited to see me. He always is, but this was different I guess. He started crying because I was never there.
I wish I could be home for him more often.
I think my dad believes I'm some kind of monster now. I can't even convince him otherwise, because I don't know myself.
Am I a monster?
— Best regards,
Ajax (Tartaglia)
PS, tell The Third to stay out of my room this time. There's no Abyssal secrets under my covers.

Ajax,
I'm sorry I couldn't make it there with you this time. I know you like it when I'm able to go too.
I'm glad Tonia and Anthon weren't yelling again. You don't deserve their treatment, but they're still young. Give them some time to understand, they'll come around eventually.
As for your older siblings, I can't help much. I wouldn't want to give you the wrong advice and make it worse.
And Ajax, we're all monsters here. Nothing anyone does will change that. You'll just have to accept it before it starts eating away at you.
— Warm regards,
Pulcinella, the 5th.
PS, The Third looked at me as if I were insane, but I got him to agree. You're welcome.
(That mask of his does not conceal as much of his expression as he likes to believe.)
