    He tried to look out the windows, to figure out who had come to their rescue, but all he could make out was a blur of faceless people who seemed to know him and kept talking over each other, a haze of black hanging behind them.

    They were here to help, but TK couldn’t figure out what was going on, or what they were trying to do. All he knew was that Carlos needed their help.

    “You have to get him out,” TK gasped, panting at the effort it took just for him to speak. “He’s bleeding.”
