Work Text:
Jungkook brushed some sweat from his brow, his lungs still heaving breaths in and out laboriously. Maybe 4 hours at the gym was a bit too much after all. Seokjin had warned him it’d be a lot, but of course the maknae just had to try.
So there he was, panting and dropping his gym bag to the floor of his bedroom with a thud. Making his way to his bed, Jungkook peeled off his sweat-soaked tank top and threw it in the laundry basket to be dealt with later. He couldn’t even think about anything besides lying down and relaxing right now.
Jungkook bounced on the mattress as he plopped down onto his back. He slipped his phone and wireless earbuds out of the pocket of his gym shorts. He had listened to music during his whole workout so they definitely needed a charge, and Jungkook wanted to watch a few YouTube videos while he relaxed his body before his shower.
Reaching down to the slot between his bed and his nightstand, Jungkook’s tattooed fingers found the wires and ran them up to his devices.
He plugged them both in and waited for the little buzzes to let him know they were charging. But, when the vibrations never came, he furrowed his brows.
Jungkook rolled onto his side to peek down at the wires. What he saw made him groan in annoyance. He snatched the chargers from their ports, got up, and padded into the living area of the dormitory with an air of frustration.
Hoseok was sitting in the comfy chair, scrolling through his Instagram feed with his feet propped up on the coffee table while Jimin and Taehyung watched a drama on the TV. Seokjin was off in the kitchen with Namjoon so they could work on dinner.
Yoongi, peaceful with his eyes closed and unaware of the scolding coming his way, laid with his feet in Taehyung’s lap and his head in Jimin’s, where the two younger men had let him (begged him) to lay with them.
Jungkook huffed, making Hoseok look up from his phone, and made his way over to the kitten. Taehyung and Jimin protested as he blocked their views of the screen.
Without saying anything in response, Jungkook held up the chargers in front of his hyungs’ faces.
Little dents littered the cord, making it look like some sort of strange Swiss cheese rope. In some spots there were even wires exposed. The chargers were bent out of shape, ruined, unusable.
The dents in the cords just so happened to closely resemble those that Yoongi was leaving on Jimin’s fingers at the moment.
Taehyung sighed when he saw the wires.
“Just get new ones, Jungkook-ah.”
Jungkook had to stop himself from stomping his foot in anger.
“That would be the third set in two weeks!”
Yoongi’s eyes fluttered open and he shifted his head in Jimin’s lap. The two small fingers he was teething on stayed in his mouth as he turned to look up at the maknae.
“He can’t help it, though.” Jimin added, carding his free hand through Yoongi’s hair.
“Yes he can! We buy all those toys for him and he still chooses my chargers?” Jungkook directed his attention to Yoongi now. He looked down at the kitty and pointed at the pile of toys in the basket under the coffee table. Yoongi had indeed ignored them in favor of nibbling on Jungkook’s cables and Jimin’s fingers that night.
“Ya! Don’t yell at him like that!” Hoseok put down his phone and spoke up from behind Jungkook, but the singer just ignored him completely.
The youngest bent down, brushing some sweaty gym hair from his forehead so he could look into the kitty’s eyes. Yoongi blinked at him lazily and continued to gently gnaw on Jimin’s fingers.
Jungkook almost abandoned his anger when he looked at his hyung: he was met with pretty deep brown eyes, clouded with sleep shine, slender like a cat’s. A cute pink pout wrapped around two fingers, which he very softly chewed on to occupy his teeth.
And oh god, the teeth. The culprits of the crime.
Those teeth, pearly white with dull points and glistening edges. Whenever Yoongi even slightly parted his lips his small fangs would peek out, absolutely begging to teethe. He could be found chewing on something almost constantly.
Socks, keychains, bracelets, hair ties, couches, cardboard boxes, curtains, bags, shoelaces, cords; pretty much anything he could get his teeth into, Yoongi would chew. If he asked nicely enough, he was even able to get some of his members’ fingers. Hoseok and Jimin were always first to volunteer. The other members teased them, called them softies, especially as they saw their faces flinch whenever Yoongi gnawed a bit too hard yet they never pushed him away.
“You.” Jungkook pointed at Yoongi, his finger centimeters away from the little button nose. Yoongi hummed lowly around Jimin’s fingers in response to show he was listening. “These-“ Jungkook pointed to the cords now, “are not toys.”
Yoongi blinked. The expression on his face was completely guilt-free, innocent.
Jungkook wanted to groan again.
Yoongi opened his mouth, Jimin’s finger slipping out and being wiped across Taehyung’s shirt (which elicited a “ya!” of disdain from the younger).
“I know that.” Yoongi spoke for the first time, adjusting his cheek on Jimin’s thigh.
Jungkook's eyes widened at the blatant disrespect and he huffed in annoyance.
He lowered the cords and reached forward, parting Yoongi’s lips with his own finger now. Yoongi opened his mouth with no questions. Maybe Jungkook would let him nibble his fingers if he didn’t want more wires chewed.
Instead, Yoongi found that the maknae was hooking his long tattooed finger behind Yoongi’s front canines.
“These do not touch wires.” Jungkook scolded, moving Yoongi’s head around with his finger. Yoongi just hummed from his throat uncaringly.
“Jungkook, c’mon. He knows that.” Jimin defended from above.
“Does he?” Jungkook questioned with a raised brow.
“Now you’re just being mean!” Hoseok exclaimed. “He really can’t help it.”
Jungkook sighed heavily. “Guys, not only is it annoying to have to go spend money on so many chargers, but it’s really dangerous for him to chew electronics.” The youngest loosened his finger from its hold on Yoongi’s teeth. When it was removed, Yoongi pouted gently.
“But they’re one of the only things that feels good.” The kitten spoke in a near-whine, sounding so dejected. His eyes glistened with sadness at being scolded and it made Jungkook regret even complaining in the first place.
He sighed, lowering his head, and raised a hand to pet across Yoongi’s hair.
“I know, I know.” Jungkook made sure to speak in a gentler tone this time. “But we have to figure out better things, okay? You can’t chew wires anymore.”
“I’ll buy cord wrap tomorrow.” Both Jungkook and Yoongi looked up at the introduction of a new voice. Seokjin and Namjoon stood behind Hoseok’s chair. “Dinner’s ready, too.”
Jungkook gave a final pat to Yoongi’s head before standing up.
“I’ll take a quick shower first, then I’ll be out.” The maknae left the living room, chargers hanging from his hand, and shut his door behind himself.
Taehyung moved Yoongi’s feet off his lap to join Hoseok in standing up.
When Jimin tried to follow, Yoongi simply rolled so he could get his mouth close to Jimin’s thigh. Jimin hummed with a small smile when he felt Yoongi’s little teeth sink into his thigh through his sweats.
‘Don’t go.’ Is what that bite meant. Yoongi always used his teeth to ask for his members to stay with him. He didn’t like using his words, so his little bites were a perfect substitute.
“C’mon hyung, it’s time to eat. I heard Seokjin-hyung made you something special tonight.” Jimin patted his head a few times.
Yoongi only bit harder, eliciting a quiet hiss from the singer. But, Jimin simply kept petting Yoongi’s head as to not be mean. Namjoon had to keep in a laugh when Jimin grimaced a bit as Yoongi began to chew on his thigh and the pain worsened, but never once opened his mouth to complain. Jimin would never even think about it. If anything, Jimin felt happy Yoongi found comfort in him. A bit of pain was worth it to be his hyung’s safe place.
“Yoongi-hyung, c’mon. Hyung made some dried fish for you. It’s VERY chewy.” Namjoon called to Yoongi. The kitten release his jaw from Jimin’s leg, who sighed in relief, and looked over to Namjoon.
“Dried fish? Jwipo?” Yoongi perked, sitting up on his own. Jimin took his chance to stand and make his way to the kitchen where the others had already gone, rubbing at the reddening bite mark in his leg.
“Mhm. Jwipo just for you.” Namjoon motioned with his hand for Yoongi to follow everyone into the kitchen.
Yoongi smiled big, little fangs gleaming in the light, and stood up to join everyone else in the kitchen.

When Jungkook entered the kitchen, hair still damp, the others were just sitting down after setting the table. A large pot of spicy fish stew rested in the middle of the table and 7 dishes were laid out in front of each of the chairs.
When he took his spot between Jimin and Taehyung, Jungkook noticed the small plate of jwipo that was resting in front of Yoongi’s placemat. It seemed like Seokjin and Namjoon had used the leftover fish to make the kitten a snack. A very chewy one, at that.
Each member began to serve themselves, the spicy broth filling the bowls and steam rising into the air. The group chatted casually while sipping on the deliciously spicy soup.
“Namjoon-ah has really gotten better at cooking!” Hoseok joked and took a mouthful of fish.
“What kind of compliment is that?” Namjoon paused his spoon in the air to counter.
“You were really hopeless for a while.” Yoongi commented and put a spoonful in his mouth.
Namjoon simply rolled his eyes and mumbled something about ‘at least I don’t chew socks’ before taking his own sip of stew. Yoongi just ignored him while everyone continued to chat.
After seconds had been served to everyone but Yoongi, Seokjin pushed the plate of dried fish over to the kitty.
“Here Yoongi-ah, I hope you like it.” Yoongi smiled and thanked Seokjin in response.
Before Yoongi had the chance to pick up his chopsticks, Taehyung beat him to it. The singer grabbed a piece of jwipo and held it up for Yoongi. The elder raised a brow at him, but opened his mouth and Taehyung placed the fish inside for him.
Taehyung loved to indulge Yoongi’s kitten side. Yoongi was a softie behind closed doors in general, but more of a tsundere if anything. It was only when his cat instincts came out did Yoongi truly allow someone to dote on him without any trouble. So Taehyung watched his hyung closely, smiling affectionately when Yoongi took the fish on his tongue behind his dainty cat fangs.
Yoongi closed his mouth and started chewing. His eyes widened a bit in the way they always did when he was mildly surprised.
“It’s tasty, hyung.” Yoongi hummed while chewing. The fishy, tough, and salty snack felt amazing against his teeth. Just enough resistance.
The other members watched as Yoongi dug into the piece of fish with his little fangs. One thing about Yoongi was that when presented with something he could eat like a cat, he really did eat like a cat: wide mouth, soft lip smacks, and appreciative noises. His cheeks switched between stretching and plumping with each motion, his pretty pink lips pursed every time he closed his mouth, and his sharp little teeth were displayed with every appreciative motion of his jaw.
When Yoongi swallowed, Taehyung made sure to have another piece ready for him. Yoongi made a near-purr noise and allowed himself to be fed the next piece. Jungkook, the previous scolder, smiled fondly while watching his hyung gnaw on the jwipo with a wide and happy mouth. Sure, of course hyung is super cute and all, but maybe the new snack meant he could also save money on phone chargers too.
“Okay, I’ll make some more for you.” Seokjin hummed while swallowing his own cooked fish.
“Thanks, hyung.” Yoongi mumbled between cute lip smacks.
“Is this better than the chewing gum?” Hoseok asked Yoongi.
“It looks like it. The gum held him off my headphones for what, a day?” Namjoon pointed out.
“Ya-” Yoongi responded with a full mouth before swallowing deeply. “The gum was useless. Don’t blame me for that.” Namjoon side-eyed Yoongi at that remark. Those ₩300,000 headphones were not meant to be sacrificed because Yoongi didn’t like some gum.
Sensing a disagreement coming on, Hoseok quickly changed the subject.
“After dinner we can go through your toys. Throw out the ones you don’t like, keep the ones you do. Namjoonie can help.” The rapper made a peace offering. Yoongi hummed as Taehyung fed him one more piece of jwipo. Hoseok continued, “Maybe that’ll help you remember which ones you like to chew. Then you can have jwipo and toys instead of wires.”
Yoongi chewed open-mouthed and blinked, but nodded in agreement.
The other six men sighed in relief. Maybe their things were finally safe from Yoongi’s devious nibbling.
But, their hopes fell when he added, “No promises.”
-
The group had decided they would watch a movie together after dinner. Once Hoseok and Yoongi had finished with the dishes, they joined the others in the living room. Namjoon had taken the chair, Seokjin was spread out on the ottoman, and the three youngest lounged next to each other on the couch. It seemed there was some kind of debate going on about what to watch.
“Ew, no. I can’t stand romance.” Seokjin protested when Namjoon went into that category on Netflix.
“You cried watching The Notebook!” Jimin countered with a laugh.
“One time thing! How about comedy?”
“Nothing too cheesy though.” Taehyung requested. Everyone else agreed and Namjoon began to scroll through the comedy category.
Hoseok and Yoongi, indifferent to whatever genre was picked, took spots on the floor near Namjoon. Yoongi watched, biting on his lip a bit as Hoseok pulled his basket of toys from underneath the coffee table. It was overflowing, some falling to the floor as the basket was moved.
“Okay hyung, Namjoon-ah.” Hoseok said when Namjoon set down the remote. The youngest rapper looked down to his hyungs and the basket of toys at his feet.
“Yoongi-hyung, you can dump all of them on the floor. I’ll put the ones you want to keep up here with me. Put the rest back in the basket and then we’ll bring them to a shelter to donate.” Namjoon instructed with a kind lilt in his voice, different from the quiet, argumentative tone he showed at dinner.
Yoongi looked up at Namjoon and simply nodded once, blinking languidly, which Namjoon found very feline of him. Yoongi picked up the basket and turned it over. An avalanche of little toys landed on the floor with plush thuds, squeaks, and jingles.
The process of Yoongi taking each toy and placing it between his delicate fangs commenced. Little fishes, crinkly fabric, shiny balls, rolling bells, and many more were chewed on and batted around by the kitty, and he assessed their performance decided their fate.
Hoseok, switching his gaze between Yoongi and the movie, helped by handing Yoongi the next toy every time he had finished deciding on one. Namjoon would reach a hand down every time he saw Yoongi make a decisive face, and the kitten would plop the toy into Namjoon’s hand from his mouth.
Namjoon hummed as he collected a small pile of toys in his lap. A tangerine toy with a little bell on top, one he had gotten for Yoongi as a gift, made him smile when it was placed in his hand to keep. Namjoon knew it was one of Yoongi’s favorites and it made him happy that his hyung loved his gift so much. He reached up to pat his hyung’s head and was met with the low vibration of a purr.
Namjoon smiled wider and scratched right behind Yoongi’s ear affectionately. Any bickering from dinner had been forgotten when the youngest rapper laid eyes on Yoongi’s satisfied, purring face. A small squeaky ball was between his lips, little teeth digging in, and his slender eyes were closing in bliss.
Hoseok smiled too, brushing some hair away from Yoongi’s forehead. He’d been responsible for putting all the toys Yoongi unceremoniously dropped out of his mouth into the basket. He was happy to see that the collection of what was being given away was bigger than what was being kept. Maybe with a smaller stash, Yoongi would remember his favorite toys and stop chewing Hoseok’s figurines now.
Doubtful, but a man can hope.
After the sorting was complete, Hoseok took a spot on the couch between Jimin and Jungkook. Yoongi had insisted on crawling up into Namjoon’s lap, completely ignoring the complaints from the younger that the chair was too small to fit the both of them. Namjoon relented when Yoongi curled up and hugged his knees to his chest, his feet on one of Namjoon’s thighs and his butt on the other.
Namjoon sighed and put a hand against the crown of Yoongi’s head while the other rapper pressed his cheek against his shoulder. Yoongi returned to purring when Namjoon moved his hand through his hair softly.
“You’re a pain in the butt, you know?” Namjoon murmured quietly only to Yoongi. The others laughed out loud at a joke from the movie and Yoongi just smiled to himself.
In response to Namjoon’s gentle complaint, Yoongi reached out, ignoring all the toys he had just decided he liked, and grabbed Namjoon’s free hand.
“Hyung-” Namjoon tried, but didn’t get to protest fully before Yoongi was sticking two of his dongsaeng’s fingers in his mouth. Namjoon sighed heavily and let his head hang as he felt Yoongi begin to teethe on his middle and ring fingers.
Namjoon just accepted his fate at that point. Without another word, he raised his head to watch the movie. He let the fingers in Yoongi’s mouth relax and began to card his fingers through Yoongi’s hair with a soft defeated sigh.
Namjoon was rewarded with tiny little purrs vibrating against his fingers and shoulder.
Yoongi was satisfied. His tummy was full of chewy jwipo, he was out of trouble with his members, and he had his fun toys sorted out for him. Sure, he might be a bit of a “pain in the ass” as Namjoon named him, but Yoongi just called that getting what he wanted.
Yoongi purred softly as he gently dug his fangs into the skin of Namjoon’s fingers, his favorite kind of chew toy. Little kitten teeth are hard to say no to, and Yoongi was lucky he had six men who were too weak to deny him.
