Chapter Text
“Adelinde, Elzer” Diluc called the names of his head maid and butler “I won’t be back for a few days, please look after the winery”
Adelinde nodded, Elzer did too. “Master, mind me asking but where are you going?” Adelinde asked
“Nothing to worry about, it’s just some business I have to deal with”
Yeah, just some ‘business’ what really happened is that the fatui sent a threatening letter to Diluc. ‘If you fail to meet me in wolvendom, us fatui will invade Mondstadt and kill every single knight still standing. The acting grandmaster, the outrider, the librarian, the spark knight, the chief alchemist, the Lawrence knight, the Cavalry captain. Every one of your little friends will be slaughtered’
Archons, Diluc was pissed. Written words never sounded so serious, especially by the fatui. Thinking of the letter, he never would've been this worried. Was it the threat against a literal child? Klee? Or was it the threat against his bro- no, never mind that.
Once he arrived at the destination, he heard a leaf crunch behind him. Immediately he jumped out of the way. Revealing the Agent dashing towards him. He put up a great fight to say the least. The agent laughed but Diluc only charged at him full speed. Serving around trees and bushes, careful to not start a forest fire to leave Razor in shambles by the end of it.
But the agent was fast. His illusion forced Diluc to lose balance. All four illusions ran towards him and knocked Diluc’s claymore out of his hand, something he never thought he'd do. The fatui took this chance to weaken him. He began kicking and punching him, using no weapon against him whatsoever. This continued for minutes
One minute pasts
Two minutes pasts
Three minutes pasts
Four minutes pasts
Five minutes pasts
Six minutes pasts
Seven minutes pasts
Eight minutes pasts
Nine minutes pasts
Ten minutes past
Nearly fifteen minutes pasts and the fatui manages to keep Diluc down
Diluc lied weakly on the ground, the blunt force of a shoe that belonged to an fatui agent intruding through his ribs, he could’ve sworn he heard something crack. He wanted to scream for someone to help him but his pride told him otherwise, plus he was deep into wolvendom, no one could hear him.
“Now, Master Diluc, what I want you to do is corporate right now. Tell me all you know about the knights of favonius and I’ll spare you” The Agent spoke coldly “If you resist, the fatui will return you a fate worse than death”
Diluc couldn’t fight back physically, as the Agent’s boot was pushing his head against the ground but he would give anything to save Mondstadt
“I’m not telling you anything” He barked. “The knights will hear about this before you can do anything!” The agent smiled
“Suit yourself” Was the last thing Diluc heard before getting knocked out cold.
He woke up in a dark cellar with his arms and feet tied to the walls, shit, where is he? ‘It’s cold, far too cold, there’s no way I could be in Snezhnaya right? This is bad, this is horrible! How will I escape? Will anyone look for me?’ His thoughts were snapped in half when he heard a door open
A hydro gunner entered the room. Diluc glared at the fatui with rage in his eyes
“Where am I!? Where have you taken me!?” He yelled, the more he struggled the more his wrists burned against the twine. He couldn't move his hands apart from each other either, as they were also tied together.
“Why, you’re in the camp engraved into the wolvendome mountains” The gunner smiled
Diluc felt a wave of relief knowing they were still in mondstadt
He grunted in pain “Let me go so we can make this easier for the both of us you fatui scum” only a pathetic whimper came after such a harsh sentence
The fatui laughed, “You know what? Let’s have a little fun, shall we, dark knight?” Pulling out a mace from behind him, that’s when Diluc knew it was going to be a long night…

Diluc didn’t want to wake up again, the fatui only stopped torturing him so that the medics can poorly treat his wounds. They were only treating him to prevent death, they wanted to play with him for as long as they possibly could. After that night of torture, which was sure to start back up in an hour, he couldn’t care less about his pride, not after the fatui heard him cry and beg for him to stop.
