Part I- The Forest
-Steven Grant-
In contrast to what he had expected, there was no light to burn his blurry eyes when he opened them. An icy cold surface was kissing the side of his face and what he could guess to be grass was tickling his temple.
He blinked once more. Weird. He couldn’t remember how he ended up lying on the ground. And to be more specific, he didn’t know how he ended up lying on the ground in the middle of a cold, dark, and foggy…
He pushed himself up with his aching hands. His head pounded. He brought a hand up to his temple, only to hiss in pain and draw it away. His sight was hazy, yes, but Steven could see something red painting his fingertips. That was when the metal-like smell hit his nose. Yes, red was for blood.
‘I must have hit it when I fell.’
That could be a great explanation for his aching head and dizziness. But could it explain how he was brought in the middle of a…
Forest? Judging from the trees and the moisture, he had no better guess. Steven didn’t remember reading about this forest in his books and again he had a fuzzy head to blame.
When he blinked again, Steven felt panic rushing through his veins. ‘Marc?’ He reached for the head space. Only to find it empty.
His Alter must know what’s going on. Marc must know…
“M…Marc?” he called out. His breathing was becoming shallow. He had a panic attack without his alter present. Without Marc to help him out of it.
He choked on his breath and brought his hands close to his heart. He called his brother again, only to be responded by silence. Steven couldn’t breathe. He tried to force oxygen into his lungs, but the force made his heart ache.
Tears gathered in his coca eyes. He needs Marc. Right now.
