Wandering Through White Noise

Summary:

Technoblade doesn't remember much. In fact, he can't even remember his real name. All he knows are the voices whispering to him, spilling secrets, longing for blood. He doesn't know where to go, or what to do, so with nothing to lose, he travels.

He travels across plains and oceans, up mountains or through storms.

What does he strive for? What does he long for? Techno wishes he knew.

Or, Technoblade travels for a long time and meets up with the SBI, who might help him uncover his past.

Notes:

I don't intend this to be disrespectful in any way possible. Technoblade's legacy will live on and I intend to help it do so. He was a brilliant content creator and an even better person. We will miss him, may he rest in peace.

Chapter 1: Golden Carrots and Distant Memories

Chapter Text

"Hey kid, you're gonna need a little more than that to buy this golden carrot right here. I'd say about 30 gold coins would do."

The man's mouth pulls into a nasty sneer as he talks, spit flying onto Techno's shirt collar.

Technoblade grimaces in disgust before turning back to the salesperson. He was obviously lying because golden carrots are usually around five golden coins. And thats at most. The true meaning behind those words were loud and clear.

We don't sell to your kind around here, now get out before I shoot you in the head.

The guy probably hated hybrids and assumed Techno was some sort of demon of sorts considering his eyes and unique hair color. But nope, Technoblade was just your typical piglin hybrid... with thousands of blood-thirsty voices inside his head.

Oh, and he can't remember anything past a half a year ago... but that's irrelevant.

Techno stares directly at the man before asking once again,

"I would like to buy a golden carrot, but for the regular price thank you very much." Techno inches closer to the counter, leaning in until their heads are almost touching, "And if you don't give it to me right now.... well lets just say the voices will be very happy tonight." Techno's crimson eyes flash bright scarlet. His vision blurring around the edges in a frenzy.

"Get away demon spawn! Get away right now or I'm calling the police!" The man's eye wide with fear, searching around for anyone to call for help.

There's no one. Its three in the morning right now and everyone is asleep. He'll be long gone by the time they wake up.

The voices screech and plead. Begging for blood- for death.

TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES!

BLOOD!

The man is shaking by now, his skin pasty and cold from sweat.

Technoblade draws his diamond sword from his hilt. It would be so easy to just kill him, the voices would quiet and he wouldn't have to deal with it anymore. Its tempting, so very tempting. The death would be over in a second, a painless way of going out. He probably doesn't have a family considering his personality and no one would miss him.

Just one slice to the throat and it'll be over.

Agonizing screams echo through his ears. Eyes stained red from memories.

Techno slams the hilt of his sword onto the counter and shakily commands, "Begone, right now. I will slit your throat if you approach me again."

The salesperson scrambles away, most likely running to make a phone call to the police.

What a coward. Can't even fight his own battles.

Technoblade exhales and slumps onto the ground, the familiar urge to puke surfacing as he clambers to the nearby trash can in the corner.

COULDN'T EVEN KILL ONE MAN

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD

The irony of calling that guy a coward, when Techno can't kill just one man after slaughtering hundreds merely months ago.

Thinking about it makes him sick to the stomach and he quickly shoves his head back into the trash can.

It's getting harder and harder to resist the voices. He had almost lost control like a few months ago, when the voices the surfaced and he had just woken up with no recollection of where or who he was. He didn't know his name, his age... anything. Everything was a mystery to him, his appearance included. Long pink hair, with pig ears and small tusks in his mouth. He had scars all over, the most prominent being his should scar, which cover his whole upper arm in pinkish-brown tissue.

Techno's age remains a mystery to this day. Is he in his late teens? Twenties? He isn't sure.

The voices demanded, forced him to kill whoever he saw first. He had stumbled upon some traveler group and massacred it. The memories still fresh in his mind. They didn't deserve it at all. They didn't deserve to be killed just for living their lives coincidentally in the same spot as Techno had walked in upon.

Techno recalls grinning wildly, eyes crazed like a madman as he continued his journey, leaving the bodies bleeding into the grass. The thrill leaving his blood pumped with adrenaline.

It was so wrong. The next day had been spent throwing up and repenting. Techno couldn't believe what he had done and promised himself to never let it happen again, no matter what.

He hadn't known how difficult it would be and that months later, he would still be puking his guts out over what could have been a very bad situation.

Techno smoothes his white button up and slings his bag onto his shoulder. He should probably leave soon before he gets caught. Besides, winter is approaching and if he doesn't want to die of hyperthermia, he should make it to the next village ASAP. The shiny golden carrot is just sitting there on the now dented counter, forgotten and tossed to the side like a tumbleweed.

It's free real estate.

Dave, Techno's loyal horse and companion, is patiently waiting for him outside. He had found him early on his trip and had named him Dave. Why Dave? Who knows, it just seemed right.

Hopping onto the saddle, they ride off into darkness together.

Another day shrouded in mystery...perhaps tomorrow will be the day where he learns about himself, but today was just another day of traveling and voices. It was't pleasant, but he survived. And most importantly, no one suffered the consequences.

And for now, that's enough.
