“You know most people think I’m here because I tried to kill my father, I mean I did but that wasn’t the whole reason.” Todoroki, Shouto, said conversationally, well conversationally for Shouto Todoroki, who happened to have the conversational skills of a particularly wet rock. As he sat down to interrupt a very peaceful meal between Izuku and Katsuki, and Aizawa in the corner of the room, because Katsuki wasn’t allowed to be alone with a student in a room yet. Shouto had already checked to see if he was awake, and he wasn’t, so he decided now was the time.
He managed to wait to speak as Izuku was bringing up his noodles to his mouth, where they stayed as he stared at Shouto in shook. This too was mirrored by the narrow-eyed stare of Kacchan, who had already cleaned off his plate. “It’s not. I only did that because he was trying to kill my mother again.”
The narrow-eyed stare of Katsuki grew even more pronounced as he was working through the words. Izuku’s noodles had already fallen off his chopsticks, and in his confusion, he accidentally bit them.
“And he only wanted to kill my mother, because she is the vigilante Snowstorm, and she was trying to kill him. With my older brother, Touya, who Endeavour had nearly burnt to death. It’s very complicated, but I just wanted you two to know. Nedzu told me that a lot of children of high-ranking top heroes try to murder their parents, the stress you know. But the only reason why they don’t get put into UA instead of therapy was because unlike me, they don’t have another parent also trying to kill the other. The commission didn’t want me to be a vigilante, or to go to juvie, so they put me here. Yay.”
Katsuki and Izuku made eye contact and tried to reason with what Shouto just said, Izuku going in for another bite of his food had forgotten it had fallen off, and after realising he had bitten his chopsticks Izuku gained the courage to speak up, knowing Katsuki would not bother.
“But I thought you were raised by Endeavour?”
Shouto looked at him blankly for a few moments, before replying, “I think you are missing the point Izuku. He tried to kill mum, or arrest her or whatever he likes to say, and I tried to stop him. So, I am here, because obviously I do not match a pro-hero. I will do soon though. I will leave you too your meals, I need to meet with Kaminari and Kirishima, they asked me to help them on their maths. They told me not to tell you Katsuki, that they didn’t like being beaten into learning.”
“Tell them to fuck off and die, they passed didn’t they.” Bakugou responded as Shouto walked away, huffing in annoyance when all he received was a wave. They watched as he walked out of the dining room before turning to each other. “What the fuck Deku, was that.”
“I don’t know. I am still processing what I heard. I didn’t even Snowstorm worked with anyone?” He asked picking up more noodles and attempting to eat them again. “Although it wouldn’t be good press for Endeavour to admit she was his ex and she had managed to turn two out of four children against him. And especially after Shouto went missing, or was kidnapped? Liberated? From Endeavour.”
Katsuki stared at him incomprehensively for a few moments. Before blinking and opening his mouth. “You are missing the point again. Nerd he just admitted to wanting to kill his dad, admitted to trying, and I kind of got the vibe that the only reason he isn’t trying to escape it to learn the skills to kill him. And all you are getting from that is about Snowstorm? Please get some more sleep or something, your motor skills are fucked up.”
“No, no I got that. I mean me to. If someone was trying to arrest mum, I would definatly like try and murder them. Like I got that, I just didn’t realise, Miss Snowstorm, the greatest of all vigilante’s was Shouto’s mum.” Izuku ignored the way Katsuki mouthed ‘Miss Snowstorm’ back to him in the most Katsuki Bakugou way ever. “I guess it makes sense with the people she targets, with what happened to Shouto and his siblings. And what I would imagine happened to her. I get-”
“Ok, ok, I get it whatever, I would kill for Auntie Inko too. I am just saying that you are so far away from the point that the point is the sun, and you are Pluto, you aren’t even a planet anymore. That is how far away from the point you are. You aren’t getting me, fucking whatere. Eat for fuck sakes, I wanna go train and I am not doing it with idiot squad one, or nerd squad two. Izuku, stop mumbling. I swear to God I will throw that in the bin. You aren’t even listening to me are you. Fucking hell.” Izuku kept on mumbling under his breath, and Katsuki slammed his head on the table, shocking him out of his mumble storm and into eating.
Katsuki watched him eat, all the very slow and small bites he was doing was managing to turn his temper up again and again. Katsuki could not figure out why he couldn’t just eat at the speed of a normal person.
“HURRY UP. At this rate I’m going to be roped into the idiots plus murderer study squad, and I really would like to get to sleep at a reasonable time. And because they are so stupid it’s going to take till midnight to do one question.”
With a mouth full of noodles Izuku corrected, “Attempted murderer” and when he finished his food, ignoring the venomous glare, “also you can’t call him that like that, you are also in here for attempted murder too.” Izuku paused for a few moments, taking in the very very aggressive slant to Katsuki’s eyebrows as he finished his death sentence. “You violent beast.”
They stared at each other for a few moments before Izuku burst out from his seat running and screaming. Followed quickly by Bakugou, who was screaming attempted murder at his back. Aizawa, who was sleeping in the corner, barely stirred, he knew Izuku would be fine. Maybe.
