“Guys! I found it! Let’s head out!” Pomu shouted, holding a flower crown high up it the air in relief. “About time!” Finana called back.
——
“And….there! Pog!Now your hair looks good” Rosemi stepped back to admire her work. She pat herself on the shoulder, staring at Selen’s thick side braid. “Now let’s go! We’re still early!”
——
“C‘ mon Nina! We’re gonna be late, your hair is fine. Enna, stop being a gremlin and move.” Reimu snaps as she pushes a cackling Enna away from the doorway of their shared apartment.
——
“GUYS MY HATS GONE!” Mysta shrieks. Everyone groans in unison and start rushing to find it. Thankfully they were still a bit early.

The Noctyx members’ head turned to the loud crash just to see Yugo standing there with a look of horror written on his face.
——
“Aster you are an absolute idiot.” Kyo sighs as he glared daggers at the said man. “…ehe?” Aster giggles nervously.
——
Today was the day of the first anniversary of the Nijisanji EN Company. Every member and staff had received an invitation for a grand and formal ball that would be hosted that night.
Each group would be attending in a formal dress code, meaning that they had to wear either a suit or a gown. All of them would be attending. Lazulight, Obsydia, Ethyria, Luxium, Noctyx and Iluna was in their respective apartments getting ready.
The Lazulight apartment was considerably… less chaotic than the rest. They managed to get on their gowns and makeup, but couldn’t find their accessories. Elira and Finana couldn’t find her tiara, and Pomu couldn’t find her flower crown. They arrived after Obsydia.
The Obysdia apartment was the calmest, with nothing going of track and arriving the first at the venue.
Ethyria was running the latest, due to Enna’s gown not being ironed and having to at the last minute. Nina’s hair was perfect, but Millie accidentally pulled off the hairpin, thus ruining it. Reimu kept tapping her foot on the floor and glaring at her watch.
Luxium was the second most organised, having them all plan their outfits and lay them neatly on the couch. Mysta’s hat went missing at the last minute, so they had to hunt for it.
Noctyx was mildly chaotic. It started off with Yugo accidentally spilling milkshake on his own suit, and starting to cry. Everyone immediately goes towards him and helps clean up, thus being a little later than Luxium.
Iluna was chaotic to say the least. They were a new group, so they had never been to a formal event like this, and were not mentally prepared. Aster couldn’t find his star clips, even though they were on his head. Kyo got really mad.
Finally, They had all gathered at the venue, a large hall meant for events such as this. Everyone looked stunning, dressed in gowns or suits. Some girls opted for suits, while some guys picked out gowns.
Pomu had a flowery, pale green dress that went over her knees. It parted at waist length, and had a pure, snow white dress inside. There were no sleeves and only straps. there was small jewels shaped like flowers hidden here and there to catch your eye.
Elira had opted for a layered gown, with a long pale blue skirt, the a medium sky blue skirt, and then a white skirt. They were all translucent, this looking like clouds. The dress had no sleeves or straps. there were small sequins that looked like scales, sewed in amongst small wisps of clouds.
Finana was clad in a turqoise dress with had flowy layers of tulle cascading down, making it look like waterfalls. There were small teardrop jewels lining the rim of the dress. Sequins similar to Elira’s were also sewn in.
Petra had an orange dress, with small flecks of black dots here and there. The sleeves were layered to look like feathers overlaying each other and the skirt was pleated and white.
Rosemi had a pink and green dress. It was pleated, and had small patterns of roses at the bottom. It was a gradient of green at the top, gradually fading into pink. There was a belt of white satin with small rose jewels embedded in.
Selen had opted for a dark purple suit. Her tie was pale purple, and she had black pants on. Her hair was thickly braided to the side, and pinned together with a small purple rose(courtesy of rosemi).
Nina had also gotten a suit, except hers was fully black, paired with black pants. The suit had a small pocket at the chest, and there was a small red rose there. She had her usual small choker.
Enna wore a pale blue and purple dress, with had flowers stitched around the bodice. She also had a small bird charm necklace around her neck, which had a small jewel embedded in to make it glimmer.
Millie had her normal witch hat on, and a black and orange dress on. It was a long sleeved dress, with the sleeves being black and orange striped and the shirt (without the sleeves) was black. The skirt was black as well, with blue cat patterns stitched around the bottom.
Reimu had a dress of grey and white, but the inside was lined with pink satin, so whenever she walked, people could see the pink inside. The grey and white looked like it were splashed on in a hurry, but the end result looks gorgeous.
Vox had his usual outfit on, the white suit with flowers embroidered on. The only difference is that there was a small pocket at the chest area, and there was a small red flower in it.
Ike had a white suit on, with a blue tie and a translucent lace cape on his shoulder. His pants had golden chains, swinging around whenever he walked. He had a blue rose in the pocket.
Shu had a black jacket on, with a sleeveless shirt on and black pants. He just has to pull the jacket up to his shoulders to consider it formal attire. The jacket pocket had a purple rose.
Luca was wearing his usual suit, except this time there was a pocket with a yellow rose with specks of gold in it. He also wore his hat this time, with his hair in a low ponytail.
Mysta wore a white dress shirt and pants, with his normal fox hat. “I won’t be myself without it” he had said. The shirt had two small dogs stitched into the pocket with held the orange rose.
Noctyx had all worn a suit, all had jacket according to their colours, and their ties matched their jackets. Only one member had a totally different outfit…
Uki had on a pale purple dress had reached his ankles, and showed off his shoulders. It had no sleeves, and was a turtleneck. It had glitter flecks here and there, it looked like the stars uki adored so much.
Aster had on a pale yellow dress that had purple sequins embroidered into the tulip sleeves. It reached between his knees and ankles. There was a belt made out of satin, which had glitter that was similar to ukis.
Ren had in his usual outfit, whereas Kyo had a turquoise jacket and a white shirt inside. His tie was black with a small pink rose painted on.
The girls had on dresses according to their colours, with the insides lined with satin and the outside decorated with jewels. They all had a small bow tied into their hair, and the bow was in their respective colours.
As the ball began, everyone took their seats at their respective places. There were speeches and toasts, and different people went up. Finally, they were all allowed to do their own things, such as dancing, drinking, or just simply talking.
Nina led everyone to a table in the middle of the hall, and made everybody sit down. She then produced a bottle of red wine out of nowhere, and started pouring it into all of their glasses.
“To Nijisanji!” She cheered. Everyone followed suit, raising their glasses and drinking it afterwards. Some people, like Ike and Shu, simply sipped it, whereas some people, like Nina and Vox, downed the glass at one go.
Everyone was laughing and having fun. They made jokes and harmless flirts to each other, while some people get a bit tipsy.
Suddenly, the lights dimmed, and there was only soft music playing. Everyone could still see, but the lights were so dim that they could only see each other’s faces.
“Dear staff-san,members, and whoever you are, it is time for a slow dance! So grab your partner, and have fun!” A voice sounded through the hall.
The members noticed some staff standing up and asking some people to dance. But some of them were too shy, so most of them sat there awkwardly. Suddenly, they heard one of them stand up.
Luca was extending a hand towards Shu, whispering something most of them couldn’t hear. The only thing the members that were seated near them heard was: “May i have this dance with you Shu?”
Shu agreed. His face looked like it was about to explode from happiness. Seeing that Luca was brave enough, some members starting asking their partners.
Aster snapped his head towards Ren, and with shining eyes, he said “Ren, can we dance?”
“Of course!” Ren replied, not understanding the meaning of a dance, but was happy to be in Asters’ presence. As they stood up to dance, someone else also stood up.
“Ike, although you have rejected me so many times, may i have a dance with you?” Vox was literally holding his hand out to Ike, looking more like he was proposing than asking for a dance.
“Of course, Vox.” Ike smiled, taking Voxs’ hand and making his way to the dance floor. Upon seeing the three pairs, everyone hurried to ask someone, upon seeing this distraction, someone quietly slipped away to the balcony.
Fulgur was sitting beside said person, and was paying close attention to the way he laughed and drank with the rest. When he left, Fulgur was concerned, and quietly went to follow him.
Uki was standing at the balcony, resting his hands on the railing and looking up at the stars with a dreamy face. Hearing Fulgur approaching, he turned around.
“Fuufuu-chan! You scared me! I thought i attracted some bad person to come and attack me.” He teased. Fulgur chuckled, holding out his hand.
“Would you like to dance? Or shall we watch the stars like always?” He asked. “Of course i’d watch the stars with you, always and forever.” Uki replied. Holding hands, they stared off into the sky, pointing out constellations and basking in each other’s company.
While they were talking(ahem..flirting) Aia and Scarle stood up and went to dance. Although everyone knew Sonny and Alban were…not platonic per say, they did not stand up to dance. Instead, they just sat down and talked.
Some of the members danced with the others platonically. Kyo and Maria were spinning around the dance floor together, purposely being gremlins and bumping into Aia, Scarle, Aster and Ren. Aia stepped on their toes when they came near, and Ren simply laughed and bumped them back.
It was a pleasant night, and it ended with everyone going home a bit tipsy, but it was a beautiful night.
