Work Text:
"The miraculous ladybugs will fix everything," the voice on the phone had said.
Adrien knew this was one thing he didn't want fixed. Marinette was the love of his life- he knew that, and he never wanted to forget. But based on the images on their respective phones - he only loved Ladybug, while Marinette only loved Adrien. If, as the voice on the phone said, they didn't know each other's identities- then they must not know they love each other.
So as he worked on his cardboard costume, he set some plans in place.

The Miraculous Cure was partly sentient- it had to be, to seek out everything that needed to be put right. It had just enough concept of self to know its mission and get it done.
It had been summoned to undo everything that a villain named Oblivio had done. It instantly darted towards the villain, ensuring that the two teenagers now purified by Ladybug were unharmed. The Cure removed their memories of being Oblivio- it always did this for purified villains, sensing that the memories would only ever do more harm than good.
It restored their tablet, knowing Chat Noir only destroyed it to release the akuma. It also reached through Nino's phone, sensing a text from Adrien that needed to be deleted. "Tell Marinette that I love Ladybug," he had sent. The Cure didn't know why the text needed to be deleted, but sensed that it did.
The Cure sensed Ladybug and her partner needed fixing, but left them for last as always. First, it removed the last vestiges of Oblivio's powers - the memory loss bubble hovering above. Then, it started its way down the building. As it passed through the top floor, it found most of the damage to the immediate area. It repaired damaged windows and desks, tidied away office supplies, and organized the space. As it did, the Cure came across Adrien and Marinette's phones, and absorbed them for later. As it went about the rest of the office, it began to reset both devices to how they were before the akuma appeared.
The Cure noticed something as it righted one particular desk - an outgoing mail box, containing among others an intriguing letter. Addressed to the Dupain-Cheng bakery, someone had written "Adrien loves Marinette." The Cure thought about changing it, considering some of the things it had sensed had to be erased from the phones of the mentioned teenagers, but despite the similarity it did not sense any need to do so.
The Cure continued its path down the building, stopping by the elevator to remove a lipstick drawing on the wall, and seeking out people whose memories needed to be restored. Finally satisfied with its work, The Cure returned to the one who had summoned it. Firstly, it surrounded Chat Noir. First, it took away all the memories he had; before restoring the ones Oblivio had taken away. Under the magical costume, he wore a cardboard recreation of the same outfit. The Cure sensed this had to go. It returned Adrien Agreste's phone.
It was about to move on to Ladybug when it sensed something under Adrien's clothes. A note, written on skin in permanent marker. The Cure almost missed this, and was relieved to have caught the small detail. It had been several millennia since it had missed anything during a restoration- a mistake with repercussions that it was not eager to repeat.
Moving to Ladybug, The Cure took her memories as it did Adrien's- replacing them with the larger set of memories taken by Oblivio. It gave Ladybug a once-over, making sure she had no injuries or anything else to fix. Sensing nothing, it gave the final touch- returning her phone- before vanishing, readying itself for the next time it was needed.

Alya got home, eager to update the Ladyblog with a photo of Chat Noir and Ladybug kissing, surrounded by the miraculous cure. She had written several drafts of the post to accompany it on her tablet, and pulled it out to reference while she typed into the blog.
She turned on her desktop and navigated to the Ladyblog. She moved the mouse to the "create post" button, but paused. Just beside it, the "Anonymous Tips" icon had a notification. Every journalistic instinct she had told her to check if it was relevant before she had to rewrite a post, or worse yet write a correction. When she pulled it up, she was amazed by what she saw.
The time stamp was during the time she had been Oblivio. Four words were submitted. "Ladybug loves Adrien Agreste," it said.
She pulled up her phone, and opened the notes app. Alya clicked on the file labeled "interview questions for LB and CN," and took a photo of the anonymous tip.
