Chapter Text
🍂🍂🍂
After a crappy week at work, you’ve been looking forward to spending the perfect Saturday with your partner: a morning at the museum to see a new exhibition he’s been dying to go to, lunch nearby, and then a walk in the park followed by coffee and dessert at a cafe.
“Arggghhh…” You groan, rifling through your wardrobe. It’s finally cool enough to wear the fall sweater you bought on sale last month, but the knitted sweater cardigan that’ll compliment your v-neck blouse, skirt, tights, and boots seems to have gone missing.
“Everything okay?” Namjoon calls out from the living room.
You leave the bedroom and head over to him. “I can’t find my–”
Namjoon stands up from the living room couch, looking absolutely gorgeous in a plain white t-shirt, jeans and…..Your sweater cardigan. Your mouth drops.
“What’s wrong? Do I have something on my shirt?” He asks, looking down at his broad chest.
“Namjoon! That’s my sweater!”
It’s kind of annoying that the cardigan fits him perfectly, as if it was tailored to his arms and torso.
“Oh, sorry, I was just grabbing whatever to wear,” he says, starting to take it off. “I really need to do laundry.”
“It’s fine,” you chuckle. “You look great in it. I think that’s why I gravitated toward it at the store, it looks like something you would wear. Let me go find another–”
“Wait,” Namjoon says, walking towards you. “If you let me wear your cardigan, I’ll find something of mine you can wear. Something that’ll look good with your outfit, I promise.”
He gives you a quick peck on your cheek and jogs over to the bedroom. After a couple minutes, he comes out with an olive green button down corduroy shirt.
“Is this okay?” He asks with trepidation. “I accidentally threw it in the dryer so it’s a bit tight on me now. I thought the green would go with the navy in your skirt. It’s lined, so it’s pretty warm.”
You smile and nod at his thoughtful choice, and he helps put it on you, the hem of the shirt hitting at the hem of your above the knee skirt. He takes extra care to adjust the collar, smooth the fabric over your shoulders and fold the lengthy sleeves to so they don't hide your hands. After he finishes, he walks you over to the full length mirror by the foyer to get your final approval.
“What do you think?”
Now that you can see your reflections with him in your cardigan and you in his button down shirt, both outfits feel intentional and coordinated. You wonder what else of his you can wear while out and about and vice versa.
“I love it, Joon.”
“It looks great on you,” Namjoon says, hugging you from behind. "You should always wear something from my closet. Easier to spot you in a crowd."
“Is dressing me up just as fun as undressing me?” You smirk, locking eyes with his reflection in the mirror.
He leans in, his lips close to your ear. “It’s even better when the clothes are mine.”
