Sans had always been fascinated by Grillby. The fiery creature was so different from him, yet they shared a bond that couldn't be denied. In his own way, he hoped that the two of them could become friends.
They talked about their lives and families, and Sans found himself opening up to Grillby in a way he never had with anyone else.
Eventually, the conversation turned to relationships. First, Grillby confided in Sans that he had never been able to find love, and Sans admitted that he had never even thought about it before. Next, the two talked about what they wanted in a partner, and they quickly realized they were looking for the same thing.
They shared a long, meaningful look.
That was when he realized that he was falling in love with Grillby.
He didn't know how it happened, but he knew he couldn't deny his feelings any longer.
He didn't know if Grillby felt the same way, but he was determined to find out.
The next time they met, Sans took a deep breath and finally summoned the courage to tell Grillby how he felt.
To his relief, Grillby felt the same way.
They hugged each other tightly, and Sans felt like he was finally home.
He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to fight for the other.
After all, they had already overcome the biggest obstacle: themselves.
