After leaving to observe the rise and eventual fall of Khaenri’ah, Lumine disappears with the civilization as they stray from the divine. Aether continues their preordained calling, to watch gods tear each other apart and clean up the messes left behind that may alter fate far too irreparably to leave unchecked – all the while searching for his lost kin within their ruins.
Within one of those messes, before Morax has the chance to make contact with the remnants of the god he defeated, Aether chances upon the child of the stars Alatus Nemeseos.
