“Onii-chan. What does that say” one little pale finger pointed to a word in his book as he shoved it into his older brother’s face. Rei laughed at his younger brother’s cute, little, frustrated pout.
Ritsu didn’t like reading, mostly due to the fact that he could not yet read. But he always looked especially frustrated when an occasional word would appear in one of his coloring books, and this was that occasion.
Rei pointed to the word and dragged his finger across the bottom as he read it slowly, keeping an eye on Ritsu to see if he was really taking in the information “Fa-..mi-..ly.” On the coloring page was a blank drawing of a family in front of a house. Two adults and three kids.
The younger of the two brothers was quick to grab his crayons and get to work, drawing over the given lines to create a family of his own.
Around 20 minutes later, the coloring book was once again shoved into Rei’s face, this time the page fully colored.
Instead of two parents, one was crossed out and colored over, the remaining parent a woman with long black hair and piercing ruby red eyes, much like the brothers’. The first kid in the drawing had slightly long black hair, and the one next to him with shorter black hair. For the last kid, was a red haired boy, holding hands with the shorter black haired boy.
Ritsu smiled widely and pointed to the woman first “there’s mommy” his finger moved over to the boy with longer hair. He looked up at Rei with a big smile “there’s Onii-chan!” He quickly colored some extra stars next to his figure before moving to the next one. “Look look, that’s me, I drawed me and you holding hands. Look, see” the black haired boy enthusiastically pointed to the awkwardly drawn interlocked hands.
Finally, the little boy excitedly pointed to the final child in the drawing, a red haired boy “that one is Maa~kun!” Of course he drew Mao, they may not have been blood related, but he was still family. If anyone dare to tell him otherwise, Ritsu planned to simply solve the problem by marrying his Mao, then they would be related.
By this point, Rei couldn’t handle it,this was all too cute. “Awwww Ritsuuuu, my cute little Ritsuu” Ritsu felt himself being pulled into a warm, comfortable hug.
“You’re such a good kid, yknow that, Ritsu?” Rei squeezed the younger a little, which caused a whine to come from the boy “Onii-chan!! Youre gonna crush meeee” he squealed and squirmed, trying to escape the playful little game his brother had turned this into. After a moment longer he gave up and let himself be embraced, only taking a moment longer to return the hug.
He really loved his family..
