Killua was surprised when he found out that Alluka was in contact with Kalluto. He wasn’t mad at Alluka, but wondered why she never told him
Killua hadn’t seen Kalluto in over a year since he had left home and brought Alluka with him. Alluka stayed by his side every day, so how??
Apparently the times Alluka had asked Killua to borrow his phone to “play games”, she had also contacted Kalluto through a messaging app. Killua was upset to say the least but he couldn’t stay mad at Alluka, who justified her actions saying that she wanted everyone in the family to get along. Killua sighed and reassured her, but said to not do that with Illumi and Milluki. Then he made her promise to not keep any secrets
Alluka then told Killua that she had planned to have the three of them meet up soon. Killua was like “what???” and Alluka responded “I promised no more secrets”
Killua and Kalluto didn’t have a bad relationship. Rather, they really had no relationship. Kalluto was doing a lot of training when Killua left and constantly clung to Kikyo when he was not training. Since Kikyo and Killua aren’t close, they were hardly near each other. Yet Kalluto admired his older brother. He was discouraged to interact with him though, since Killua had been rebelling his family
Kalluto was nervous and excited at the same time to see his siblings. He was afraid of Killua’s instant rejection and Alluka having to intervene
Apparently they had the plans established because Killua blindly tagged along. They were to meet at an ice cream shop.
Kalluto sheepishly walked up to his siblings who were standing outside of the shop.
“Kalluto!” Alluka exclaims, giving her little brother a hug. Kalluto smiled.
Killua mumbled a “hey” while Kalluto gave him a small wave.
They entered the store, staring at the menus.
“Wow Kalluto,” Alluka gasps. “You’re almost as tall as me!”
Killua scoffed and pretended to be focused on choosing an ice cream flavor. Unfortunately, Alluka pointed out how Kalluto is now taller than him, making Killua the shortest Zoldyck.
“Shut up! I’m trying to order,” Killua scolded them before ordering a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
Kalluto’s suppressed his laughter because he didn’t want to cross his brother- who he admired.
They all sat at a table outside near the shop. “Even our ice cream is taller than yours!” Alluka laughed. Kalluto and her had gotten two scoops of ice cream. She laughed loudly, which caused Killua to blush and Kalluto to began to giggle.
She was laughing so much her ice cream slid off her cone and onto the ground. Then Killua began laughing and Kalluto continued laughing
“I’m going to get more ice cream,” she walked inside.
The laughter faded and Killua and Kalluto sat in silence, eating their ice cream.
“I’m sorry for laughing at you,” Kalluto whispered.
“Hm?” Killua raised an eyebrow. “Oh- you’re fine. I’m used to it.” he shrugged.
“This is the most fun I’ve had,” Kalluto looked at the ground, smiling.
“It’s only been 10 minutes,” Killua responded without thinking.
Killua looked up at his little brother. Kalluto was visibly nervous. Killua wondered why was he being so cold towards his little brother.
Killua remembered how he used to admire Milluki and Illumi before their relationships took a turn for the worst. Kalluto had no siblings or friends to talk to since Killua and Alluka left, and Milluki and Illumi were doing their own things.
“But- I’m glad you’re having fun. As long as you’re not spying on me or talking to mom or Illumi about this - you can spend time with us whenever.”
“Really?” Kalluto grinned, nearly dropping his ice cream.
With a small smile, Killua nodded.
Alluka returned with her new ice cream in a bowl instead of a cone. “Sooo~ what did I miss?”
