Childe knew when he first plunged into the Abyss that he had changed, that the rules of the world was more vast then he realised.He understood that fundamentally, just as the rust on that dagger had stained the metal, that Childe was different.
But he adapted. He. Was. Still human.
When a betrayal rocks him from someone he had never expected, Childe finds himself in a place that he had thought he had long since put behind. The ever growing feeling and casm within grew.
But he adapted. He. Was.....Human. He is. He had to be.
That was what Childe was good at. Change. Survival. That insatiable desire within him to consume everything around him.
Yet in an evershifting world foreign to him, there seems to be an unexpected constant in his life. New, old, different, same, those amber eyes still saw into his soul.
A story of two beings that never should have met, of the memories unsaid, as they grabbled with one poignant question:
What does it mean to be human?
