Or, now hear me out here, maybe Batman just can't let someone die on his watch? I mean, we all know he has a guilt complex. Is it really hard to believe that he can't even let Joker die if he can help it? Also! In that video, yeah, the one causing all this, we can also see him trying to knock the gun out of Joker's hands. Yeah, he's trying to save fucking both of them! Now c'mon guys, this is all a little ridiculous, isn't it?
