Vox Akuma, the voice demon
In the past he would rule his clan with an iron fist, cementing his place as the leader. His clan is his home, his family.
But everything have to come to an end, that's the rule of life.
In return, life have given him a new family. One that he cherish and would do anything to keep his new family alive and well. He will not let history repeat itself.
"Vox? Why are you outside?" Ike slides the door open, revealing his casual shirt he would wear around the house. "Everyone is preparing breakfast, aren't you joining us?"
Vox sets his tea down before looking at Ike with a smile he always wear ever since meeting them. "Of course I'm joining you all, I'm not letting Mysta make weird food again." Ike smiles before going back inside, closing the door gently as to not disturb the sweet silence.
Vox enjoys this very much, but the lively atmosphere that his family emits is much more precious. Dare he say, much more precious than the past he holds onto.
Not a minute past before a scream can be heard from the kitchen.
"MYSTA!" Ike's scream accompanied by the crackle of fire and Luca's laughter. "I swear I didn't plan to flambe the eggs!" He could hear Mysta stumbling around before a singer snap quits the fire.
"Looks like I have to join in."
Vox gets up, taking his empty tea cup and walking inside. He look outside for a moment before fully paying attention to the mess that is the Luxiem Household Kitchen.
The kitchen is, fortunately, not on fire.
Shu softly puts out the fire with a snap of a finger while Ike is ready with the flame extinguisher. After what happened last time, Ike is ready for whatever Mysta is going to make.
"I'm so sorry, I think I put on too much oil." Mysta's shoulder slump as he speak, gloom surrounding his entire figure. "Aw no need to apologize! Everyone made mistake!" Luca, the local sunshine of the household, pats Mysta's back. Prompting the smaller figure to laugh sheepishly.
Ike and Shu watch from the sideline of what the two are doing before noticing Vox.
"Oh Vox you're here! Can you keep an eye on Mysta while me and Shu set the table?" "Sure, how about you Luca?"
Luca puts his finger up to his chin, thinking before parting his mouth,"I'll help with the cooking!" His aura of pure joy immediately washes over everyone and out a smile on them. "Very well, alright Mysta let's make a normal fried egg."
The cooking went smoothly. Mysta didn't burn another dish and Luca is preparing the food on the plates, decorating it with encouraging messages he writes with tomato sauce. Vox makes sure the fire doesn't get out of hand and help Luca with the plating.
"Phew, thanks a lot Vox."
"No problem, I'm just glad you're not hurt"
Mysta puts on a proud smile. A moment after that Ike and Shu yealls for them to come over to the living room.
The living room have been transformed into a cozy dining area. Complete with drinks on the table and a movie playing on the tv. Blankets folded nicely on one of the couch and pillows for each of the member resting comfortably on the couch.
The trio cooker waste no time in putting the plates of food on the table, each plate as beautiful as the other. And with the encouraging message Luca wrote, it gives an extra sunshine to those who eat it.
Everyone sits down and bring their plate close to them. Mysta comfortably crossing his legs on the couch while Ike puts his plate on his lap and eats carefully. Shu and Luca seems to joke around while eating spoonful of their food. While Vox enjoys every second of it as he chews on the food he and his family had made.
The movie starts to play, just a filler for them to enjoy their food while watching something fun on the tv.
"Do you think we need new movies to watch?" Mysta chimes while eating his food, his eyes watching the tv intently. Ike raise his brow, "don't we have enough movies to watch?"
Vox chimes in, "Well there's that new movie thats coming out, why don't we go to the theater to watch it together?"
Within a heartbeat, Luca and Shu gasp at Vox's proposal. "Can we?" The two of them speak at rhe same time, eyeing Ike with the biggest puppy eyes they have. Even Mysta joins in, giving his best puppy eyes to Ike.
Ike smile for a bit before speaking, "alright let's go to the theater, but not today alright?"
"I'll book some seats for us! And I'll make sure it's the best seat that we can get!" Luca says excitedly, almost forgetting he have chewed food in his mouth, "Oops, sorry". The others laugh at his actions before resuming breakfast.
Time passes, Mysta looks at the clock hanging on the wall and almost spit his food out, "I'm gonna be late for work!". He gets up and clean his plate as fast as he can before running to his room to get dressed. Shu shakes his head before looking at Luca, "Luca can you please give a ride to Mysta? The case he's working is almost done and I really don't want him to be late."
Luca drinks his water and gives Shu a thumbs up, earning a thank you from the sorcerer. Ike chimes in, "Clean up before you come back home, you've been really messy lately". Vox nod in agreement, prompting Luca to get flustered and apologize.
"It's been hectic with the boys lately" he stood up with his and Mysta's plate in hand, "I'll clean up! I promise." Luca went to the kitchen to put the plate and go to his room, getting ready for business.
Vox finished his plate and picks up his cup of tea, "you two have anything to do today?". Shu hums before answering, "Someone commissioned me to make goodluck charms, but my specialty is with curses.. can you lend me a hand?". Vox smiles and says he will, "How about you Ike? How's the novel you've been writing?". Ike explains in details how his work is going, when you ask Ike about anything he's passionate about, he will go on and on with the details.
"I finish the whole chunk, just need to add finishing details before giving it to my editor and publisher!" He exclaims happily, proud of his work nearing completion.
Vox chuckle at Ike's excitement, "Looks like everyone is having a good week so far, I'm really glad"
Both of them nod in agreement. "Cant wait to see the movie, I hope it's gonna be good!" Shu smiles as he said that. "I'm sure it will be good, I'll help you make the charms once we finish cleaning up breakfast"
