There’s a flicker.
There is a flame curling around Todoroki’s ear. His right ear. Burning at the ends of his white strands. Heat around his gray, unscarred eye.
Dangerous. Dangerous. He’s dangerous today.
Todoroki blinks, lifts his hands and looks down into his palms, into the flames sparking at the tips of all ten of his fingers, then back up at Katsuki.
He whispers, “Is it happening?”
Katsuki swallows, nods his head, and he takes a step back, fingers curling into his rough palms. “Yeah.”
“Hide,” Todoroki says.
And then, both his left and right sides burst into flames.
Or: Todoroki suffers and the only thing Katsuki can do is watch.
