“You really went out of your way to do this, huh?”
“Only for the best, you know.”
Kunikida snorted as he relaxed into the bathtub. “Sure.” He smiled when he heard a chuckle next to him.
It was the eve of their anniversary, three years since they started dating in fact. While they were both full time working men with children, Oda somehow found time to not only plan something for their special day but also some surprises along the way. This was one of them.
Thanks to their friends helping out, the children were staying over at Fukuzawa’s place, the home was beautifully decorated and there was a trail of rose petals that led from the kitchen to the bathroom.
Needless to say, Kunikida was blown away by it all.
“This feels nice~” Kunikida smiled as he leaned over and kissed the other on the cheek. “You sure you don’t want to join me?”
It was tempting, he will admit that but Oda shook his head. “Next time. This is may be our anniversary but this is enough for me; to see you like this.” He smiled at the other.
Blushing a bit, Kunikida huffed. “Charmer.”
Chuckling, Oda got himself comfortable next to the bathtub, content to sitting on the tile floor and hear his love talk about whatever he wanted or just sing to his heart’s content. It was just them that night.
And it won’t be the last time they would be like that either.
