Could you imagine to go onto a trip into the Ghostg Zone? Danny's class can't. And he is happy they can't. Instead they go to a National Park, hiking. White Pines Forest State Park is their destination. But until they arrive there, he tries to explain his friends his lessons with Clockwork, the Master of Time.
Apparently, because he defeated Pariah Dark, he is now the prince of the Ghost Zone. Well, and because no one wants Vlad as the king. As a preparation for his coronation, Clockwork and a few other ghosts give him lessons. These lessons range, from history of the ghosts to phenomenas that can pop up. Some weirder than others.
Like Sam expected, Paulina was the first one to complain. Her 'hiking boots' weren't really functional. In other news, water is wet.
Their guide was pretty cool. Relaxed, chill and patience with no end. Which was needed considering they found a stair case standing in the forest.
Yes, a stair case. As if someone copied it out of a house and dropped into the forest. It was so out of place. The wood it was build with had no damage, no woodpeckers, no insects making holes. The carpet was pristine white, no dirt, no leaves laying on it. It is just there.
Looking around, there are no animals, everything is silent. His class had so many questions. It didn't help that their guide didn't care. She just looked at it as if it was the most ordinary thing in existance. The same could be said about Danny.
Why did Sam have the feeling the stairs are related to ghosts?
Their guide told them to stay away from and it and leave it alone. They continued their way, away from the stairs. But one student didn't listen.
He started to walk slower, dropping behind. Soon, he managed to walk back to the stairs. But it didn't take long until Mr. Lancer noted one student of his left. Their guide muttered, "The stairs!" Apparently lost people often vanish because of the stairs. Danny made a copy of himself, one stayed with the class, one flew to the stairs.
There, he found nobody.
He turned human and climbed the stairs. On top, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he breathed out, he opened his eyes. The purple swirls in the air told him he was in the Ghost Zone.
"Fenton!", yelled his class mate. Kwan, Dash's friend. KWan was running to him. Danny gestured him to stop in front of the stairs. Danny walked down and stopped in front of him.
"She said we shouldn't go onto them.", said Danny. "After events like the Ghost King's attack, you should know the supernatural is dangerous."
"I-I... wait, but you weren't on them as well!"
"I was looking for you! Unlike you, I know how to get back.", said Danny.
"Really? How? And Why?"
Instead of answering, he turned into Phantom. Kwan had no words, he was just shocked.
"Let me open a portal back to the park.", said Danny. "And promise me not to reveal my identity."
"Eh, I doubt many people would believe me anyway.", replied Kwan.
The Guide was at the stairs, worried that they didn't find a corpse there. They always find corpses there. To her surprise, a portal opened. Out came the student and Danny Phantom.
She may not be from Amity, but news spread. She is well aware of the Ghost Boy of Amity.
"Wow... I-I, Thank you!", she said. She collected her thoughts. "Even away from Amity, you're a Guardian Angel."
"Eh, more like someone with a hero compex.", he replied. "You really need to keep people away from these stairs. The Ghost Zone doesn't appreciate unannounced visitors."
Her eyes widen, she didn't knew these stairs lead to the ghost zone.
